3. Operating Instructions
3.1 Recording Video
To start recording, simply press the Record button on the remote control or the 'Rec' button on the device. The device supports recording UHD video up to 4K@30fps. It also supports 4K@60fps video input, which will be recorded as 1080p@60fps. For optimal 4K recording, it is recommended to adjust 4K@60fps input to 30fps or below.
3.2 Playback Recorded Video
To play back recorded videos directly on your TV, press the Video button on the remote control. You can navigate through your recorded files using the remote.
3.3 Switching Encoding Formats
The ClonerAlliance UHD Pro supports both H.264 and H.265 codecs. You can easily switch between these formats by pressing the dedicated H.264 or H.265 buttons on the device, or through the settings menu using the remote control. H.265 offers more efficient compression, resulting in smaller file sizes for the same quality.

3.5 PC Connection for Live Streaming
For live streaming or advanced recording options, you can connect the ClonerAlliance UHD Pro to your PC (Windows, Mac, Linux, Android) via the 'To PC' Micro-B USB port. This enables ultra-low latency streaming and recording through compatible software.

4. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your ClonerAlliance UHD Pro, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the device. Avoid using liquid cleaners or aerosols.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- USB Storage Formatting: For best performance and to avoid file splitting, ensure your USB storage device is formatted using NTFS or exFAT file systems, especially for recordings exceeding 2GB or 4GB. The device supports various file systems including exFAT, NTFS, FAT/FAT32, MBR, and GPT.
5. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your ClonerAlliance UHD Pro.
5.1 No Video Output or Error Message
Issue: The display shows no video output or an error message when connected to a source.
Solution: The ClonerAlliance UHD Pro does not support content protected by HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). If your source device is outputting HDCP-protected content, the recorder will display an error or no signal. This is not a defect of the device. Ensure your source is not HDCP-protected or use an HDCP-stripping device (not included) if legally permissible and necessary for your application.
5.2 Recorded Files are Split
Issue: Recorded video files are split into multiple smaller files.
Solution: This typically occurs when the USB storage device is formatted with FAT32, which has a 4GB file size limit. To avoid file splitting, format your USB storage device to NTFS or exFAT. These file systems support larger individual file sizes.
5.3 Remote Control Responsiveness
Issue: The remote control is unresponsive or requires close proximity to the device.
Solution: Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the device. Check and replace the remote control batteries if necessary (batteries not included). Point the remote directly at the front of the ClonerAlliance UHD Pro for optimal signal reception.
5.4 Smart TV/TV Antenna Not Working as Source
Issue: Attempting to use a Smart TV or TV antenna as a video source does not work.
Solution: Smart TVs and TV antennas are not supported as video input sources for the ClonerAlliance UHD Pro. The device is designed to capture output from devices like DVRs, set-top boxes, game consoles, media players, and camcorders with HDMI OUT.
