Safety Information

Setup & Installation
The Hibbent toilet seat comes with all necessary installation hardware and offers two installation options for convenience.
Option 1: Top-Mount Installation with Long Nuts
- Prepare the Toilet: Remove your old toilet seat. Clean the toilet bowl's mounting holes thoroughly.
- Install Washers: Place the black rubber washers over the toilet bowl's mounting holes.
- Insert Bolts: Insert the metal bolts with the hinge bases into the mounting holes, ensuring they pass through the washers.
- Attach Long Nuts: From underneath the toilet bowl, connect the extra-long nuts to the bolts and tighten them by hand. These nuts are designed for easy tightening.
- Secure Hinge Covers: Place the chrome-finished hinge covers over the hinge bases and lock them into place.
- Attach Seat: Align the toilet seat's hinges with the installed hinge bases and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Option 2: Top-Mount Installation with Expansion Bolts
- Prepare the Toilet: Remove your old toilet seat. Clean the toilet bowl's mounting holes thoroughly.
- Insert Expansion Bolts: Insert the black expansion bolts into the toilet bowl's mounting holes.
- Attach Hinge Bases: Place the metal bolts with the hinge bases into the expansion bolts.
- Tighten Screws: Use a screwdriver to tighten the screws on the hinge bases. This will expand the bolts, securing them firmly in the holes.
- Secure Hinge Covers: Place the chrome-finished hinge covers over the hinge bases and lock them into place.
- Attach Seat: Align the toilet seat's hinges with the installed hinge bases and press down firmly until it clicks into place.

Operating Instructions
Quiet-Close Functionality
The Hibbent toilet seat is equipped with a soft-close mechanism for both the seat and the cover. To close, simply push the seat or cover down gently. The mechanism will engage, allowing it to close slowly and quietly without slamming. This feature prevents noise and protects fingers from pinching.

One-Click Quick Release
For easy cleaning, the toilet seat can be quickly removed from its hinges using the one-click release button located on the side of the seat.
- Locate Button: Find the circular button on the side of the toilet seat, near the hinge.
- Press and Lift: Press the button firmly and lift the entire toilet seat straight up from the hinges.
- Re-attach: To re-attach, align the seat's hinges with the posts on the toilet bowl and press down until it clicks securely into place.

Maintenance & Cleaning

- Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, strong acids, or alkaline detergents, as these can damage the polypropylene material and finish.
