1. Introduction

2. Safety Information

3. Setup and Installation

  2. Positioning: Place the washing machine on a flat, stable floor. Ensure there is adequate space around the appliance for ventilation and access.
  3. Leveling: Use a spirit level to check if the machine is level. Adjust the adjustable feet at the bottom of the machine until it is perfectly balanced. This prevents excessive vibration and noise during operation.
  4. Water Supply Connection: Connect the supplied inlet hose to the cold water tap and to the water inlet valve on the back of the washing machine. Tighten connections securely by hand, then use a wrench for a final quarter turn.
  5. Drain Hose Connection: Insert the drain hose into a standpipe or secure it over the edge of a sink, ensuring it is properly hooked to prevent it from falling out during draining. The drain hose should not be kinked or submerged in water.

4. Operating Instructions

This section guides you through the daily operation of your Candy washing machine.

4.1. Control Panel Overview

  • Detergent Drawer: Located on the top left, for adding detergent and fabric softener.
  • Program Selector Dial: Used to select the desired wash program.
  • 5D Digital Display: Shows program information, remaining time, error codes, and selected options.
  • Function Buttons: For selecting additional options such as temperature, spin speed, delayed start, and extra rinse.

4.2. Loading Laundry

Open the porthole and load laundry into the drum. Do not overload the machine; the maximum capacity is 10 kg. For best results, ensure clothes can move freely within the drum.

4.3. Adding Detergent and Softener

Pull out the detergent drawer. Add appropriate amounts of detergent to the main wash compartment and fabric softener to its designated compartment. Refer to your detergent packaging for recommended dosages.

4.4. Program Selection

Turn the program selector dial to choose one of the available wash programs. The machine offers 9 quick access programs and a 59-minute full load program. The 5D digital display will show the default settings for the selected program.

Example Programs:

  • Cotton: For durable cotton items.
  • Synthetics: For synthetic and mixed fabrics.
  • Delicates: For delicate items requiring gentle care.
  • Quick 59 Min: A rapid cycle for a full load, ideal for lightly soiled items.
  • Eco 40-60: Energy-efficient program for normally soiled cotton, linen, or mixed fiber items washable at 40°C or 60°C.
  • Rinse: For rinsing and spinning items.
  • Spin: For spinning only.

4.5. Adjusting Options

After selecting a program, you can customize settings using the function buttons:

  • Temperature: Press the temperature button to adjust the wash temperature.
  • Spin Speed: Press the spin speed button to change the spin revolutions per minute (RPM).
  • Delayed Start: Use this function to postpone the start of the wash cycle by a set number of hours.
  • Extra Rinse: Adds an additional rinse cycle to ensure thorough removal of detergent residue.

4.6. Starting and Stopping a Program

Press the Start/Pause button to begin the selected program. The display will show the remaining time. To pause a program, press the Start/Pause button again. To cancel a program, turn the program selector dial to the "Off" position, then select a new program.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance ensures the efficiency and longevity of your washing machine.

5.1. Cleaning the Detergent Drawer

Periodically remove and clean the detergent drawer to prevent detergent buildup. Rinse it under running water and use a brush if necessary.

5.2. Cleaning the Drum

Run a maintenance wash (e.g., a hot cycle with no laundry and a descaling agent) monthly to clean the drum and remove any residue.

5.3. Cleaning the Drain Filter

The drain filter should be cleaned regularly to prevent blockages. This is typically located at the bottom front of the machine.

  1. Open the filter cover at the bottom front.
  2. Place a shallow container underneath to catch any residual water.
  3. Slowly unscrew the filter counter-clockwise.
  4. Remove any lint, coins, or foreign objects.
  5. Rinse the filter under running water.
  6. Screw the filter back in clockwise until tight, ensuring a secure seal.
  7. Close the filter cover.

5.4. Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
