Setup
1. Wireless Connectivity (2.4 GHz)
To connect your Arctis 9 headset wirelessly to your PC, PlayStation 5, or PlayStation 4, use the included 2.4 GHz wireless dongle. Simply plug the USB dongle into an available USB port on your device. The headset should automatically pair with the dongle. Ensure the headset is powered on.

2. Bluetooth Connectivity
The Arctis 9 supports simultaneous Bluetooth connection for mobile devices, allowing you to take calls or listen to music while gaming. To pair via Bluetooth:
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button on the right earcup until the LED indicator blinks rapidly.
- On your mobile device, search for Bluetooth devices and select "Arctis 9".
- Once paired, the LED will turn solid blue.
3. Wired Connection
For wired use, connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from the headset's 3.5mm port to your audio source. This allows for compatibility with devices that do not support wireless or Bluetooth.

1. Controls Overview
The headset features intuitive controls located on the earcups:
- Right Earcup: Main Volume Dial, Microphone Mute Button, Bluetooth Button, Power Button, Micro-USB Charging Port, 3.5mm Audio Port.

2. Microphone Usage
The Discord-certified ClearCast microphone is retractable for convenience. Pull it out from the left earcup when needed. The bidirectional design ensures clear voice pickup while minimizing background noise.

3. Audio Customization

- Dongle Not Responding: Try unplugging and re-plugging the USB dongle. Ensure your device's USB ports are functioning correctly.
- Headset Randomly Disconnecting: Check for interference from other wireless devices. Ensure the headset is within range of the dongle. Update SteelSeries Engine software and headset firmware.
- Inconsistent Battery Life: Ensure the headset is fully charged using the provided cable. Avoid leaving the headset powered on when not in use.
- Microphone Issues: Ensure the ClearCast microphone is fully extended. Check the microphone mute button on the earcup. Verify microphone settings in your device's audio control panel and in the SteelSeries Engine software.
- Comfort Issues: Adjust the ski-goggle headband for optimal fit. Consider third-party ear cushions if the stock ones do not provide sufficient comfort for extended use.
- Software Interference (Sonar): If experiencing audio channel issues, reconfigure audio settings within the SteelSeries Engine/Sonar software. Ensure the software is up-to-date.
