4. Maintenance

The SANUS TV mount requires minimal maintenance to ensure long-lasting performance.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the mount with a soft, dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the finish.
  • Inspections: Periodically check all screws and bolts to ensure they remain tight. Over time, vibrations or frequent adjustments may cause fasteners to loosen.
  • Lubrication: The articulating joints are designed for smooth operation and typically do not require lubrication. If movement becomes stiff, contact customer support.

5. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your SANUS TV mount, refer to the following common problems and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
TV tilts forward unexpectedly.Tilt mechanism not sufficiently tightened, or TV is at the upper weight limit.Ensure the tilt adjustment knob/screw is tightened firmly. If the issue persists with a heavy TV, ensure the TV weight is within the mount's specified limit.
Mount feels loose or unstable.Wall plate not securely fastened, or wall studs are not adequate.Re-check all wall plate fasteners to ensure they are tight. Verify that the mount is installed into solid wood studs or concrete as per instructions. Do not install into drywall alone.
TV brackets do not align with TV mounting holes.Incorrect bracket orientation or TV model incompatibility.Double-check the TV's VESA pattern and ensure the brackets are oriented correctly. While this mount is universal, some TV models may have unique mounting requirements. Consult your TV's manual or SANUS customer support if issues persist.
