Setup
1. Battery Installation
- Align the battery with the battery compartment on the back of the radio.
- Gently push the battery into place until it clicks securely.

2. Charging the Radio
Before first use, fully charge the radio's battery. Use the provided Micro-USB cable and charger adapter.
- Connect the Micro-USB cable to the charging port on the side of the radio.
- Plug the charger adapter into a standard wall outlet.
- The indicator light will show charging status (e.g., red for charging, green for fully charged).

Operating Instructions
1. Power On/Off
Press and hold the orange power button located on the top of the radio to turn it on or off. A voice prompt will confirm the action.

2. Channel Selection
Short press the power button to enter the channel switching mode. Use the add (+) or minus (-) keys to select your desired channel. The radio supports 22 FRS channels.

3. Volume Adjustment
In normal operating mode, use the add (+) or minus (-) keys to adjust the volume level. The radio features a volume memory function.

4. Push-to-Talk (PTT)
Press and hold the PTT button on the side of the radio to transmit your voice. Release the button to listen.
5. VOX (Voice Operated Exchange)
The VOX function allows for hands-free operation. When activated, the radio transmits automatically when it detects your voice, without needing to press the PTT button.

6. Key Lock
To prevent accidental changes to settings, you can activate the key lock feature. This locks the keypad buttons.

7. Squelch and Privacy Codes (CTCSS/DCS)
The RT19 features 0-9 level squelch to reduce background noise and 50 CTCSS (Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System) and 208 DCS (Digitally Coded Squelch) codes. These codes help minimize unnecessary chatter on channels by allowing you to hear only transmissions from radios set to the same code.

Maintenance

Troubleshooting
