4. Setup

Unpacking:

Carefully remove the charger and batteries from their packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage. If any part is damaged, do not use the product and contact customer support.

Initial Charge:

Although the EBL AA batteries come pre-charged, it is recommended to fully charge them before their first use to optimize performance and lifespan.

5. Operating Instructions

Inserting Batteries:

  1. Ensure the charger is unplugged from the power outlet.
  2. Insert AA or AAA batteries into the designated slots, matching the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
  3. For 9V batteries, insert them into the dedicated 9V charging slot, ensuring correct polarity.
  4. The charger is designed to charge batteries in pairs for AA/AAA slots. If you are charging an odd number of batteries, ensure the slots are filled symmetrically (e.g., 2 or 4 AA/AAA batteries).

Charging Process:

  1. After inserting the batteries, plug the charger into a standard AC power outlet (100-240V).
  2. The LED indicator lights will illuminate to show the charging status:
    • Flashing Red: Indicates faulty batteries detected. Remove and inspect the batteries.
    • Solid Red: Batteries are currently charging.
    • Solid Green: Batteries are fully charged. The charger will automatically shut off to prevent overcharging.
  3. Charging time for 2800mAh AA batteries is approximately 3.5 hours.
  4. Once charging is complete, unplug the charger and remove the batteries.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Batteries not charging (Red light not on):
    • Ensure the charger is securely plugged into a working power outlet.
    • Verify that batteries are inserted with correct polarity (+/-).
    • Check if the batteries are NiMH/NiCD rechargeable types. Non-rechargeable batteries will not charge.
    • Ensure batteries are inserted in pairs for AA/AAA slots. The charger may not initiate charging for single batteries in these slots.
  • Flashing Red Indicator:
    • This indicates a faulty battery. Remove the battery and inspect it for damage or leakage. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure the battery is a compatible NiMH/NiCD type.
  • Batteries not holding charge:
    • Rechargeable batteries have a limited lifespan (up to 1200 cycles for EBL batteries). If batteries are old, they may need replacement.
    • Ensure the device using the batteries is not experiencing excessive power drain.
