Setup

1. Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the alarm clock.
2. Insert two (2) AA / LR6 batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

2. Initial Radio Signal Synchronization

Upon battery installation, the clock will automatically begin searching for the DCF-77 radio signal to set the time, date, and day. This process may take several minutes. The radio control icon will flash during the search and become solid once synchronized.

• Place the clock near a window for better reception.
• Avoid placing it near electronic devices that may cause interference.
• The clock automatically adjusts for daylight saving time.

3. Manual Time Setting (If Radio Signal is Unavailable)

If the radio signal cannot be received, you can set the time manually:

1. Press and hold the TIME button for approximately 3 seconds until the hour display flashes.
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the hour.
3. Press the TIME button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the minutes.
5. Press the TIME button to confirm and exit time setting mode.
6. Repeat this process for setting the year, month, and day if necessary.

Operating Instructions

Setting Alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2)

1. Press and hold the ALARM button for approximately 3 seconds until the alarm hour display flashes (either Alarm 1 or Alarm 2, depending on which was last selected).
2. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the desired alarm hour.
3. Press the ALARM button again to confirm the hour and move to minute setting.
4. Use the UP or DOWN buttons to adjust the desired alarm minutes.
5. Press the ALARM button to confirm and exit alarm setting mode.
6. Repeat for the second alarm if needed.

Activating/Deactivating Alarms

• To activate Alarm 1, slide the ALARM1 ON/OFF switch on the back of the clock to the "ON" position. An alarm icon will appear on the display next to Alarm Time 1.
• To deactivate Alarm 1, slide the ALARM1 ON/OFF switch to the "OFF" position. The alarm icon will disappear.
• Repeat for Alarm 2 using the ALARM2 ON/OFF switch.

Snooze Function

When an alarm sounds, press the large SNZ/LIGHT button on the top of the clock. The alarm will pause for approximately 5 minutes and then sound again. This can be repeated multiple times.

Backlight Activation

Press the large SNZ/LIGHT button on the top of the clock to momentarily illuminate the display with a blue backlight for easy viewing in low light conditions.

Manual Radio Signal Search

If you suspect poor signal reception or wish to force a synchronization, press the WAVE button on the back of the clock. The clock will attempt to receive the DCF-77 signal again.

Maintenance

Cleaning

Wipe the clock with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemical solvents, as these may damage the casing or display.

Battery Replacement

When the display becomes dim or the clock stops functioning, replace the two AA batteries. Follow the battery installation steps in the Setup section. After replacing batteries, the clock will attempt to re-synchronize with the radio signal.
