2. Safety Information

4. Setup and Installation

4.1. Physical Installation

4.2. App and Network Connection

The Chatthen Smart Valve Timer connects to your home WiFi network (2.4GHz only, 5GHz is not supported) via the Smart Life app.

Download App: Download the "Smart Life" app from your smartphone's app store (iOS or Android).
Register/Log In: Open the app and register for a new account or log in if you already have one.
Add Device: Follow the in-app instructions to add a new device. Select the appropriate device type (e.g., "Valve Controller" or "Water Valve").
Connect to WiFi: Ensure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network. Enter your WiFi password when prompted by the app.
Pairing Mode: The device will enter pairing mode (usually indicated by a blinking light). Confirm this in the app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Remote Control via Smart Life App

Once the device is connected to your Smart Life app, you can control the valve from anywhere with an internet connection.

Open the Smart Life app.
Select your Chatthen Smart Valve Timer from the device list.
Tap the on/off button within the app to open or close the valve.
You can also set schedules, timers, and countdowns for automatic operation.

5.2. Bluetooth Control

For local control without WiFi, the valve can be operated via Bluetooth within a 10-meter range.

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
Open the Smart Life app and select the device.
The app will automatically detect the device via Bluetooth if within range.
You can then control the valve as you would with WiFi.

5.4. Manual Control

In case of a power outage or if remote control is unavailable, the valve can be operated manually.
