4. Setup (Assembly Instructions)
Assembly of your BASETBL Office Chair is designed to be straightforward, with all necessary tools provided. Follow these steps carefully:
- Prepare the Base: Attach the five legs to the central circular holder of the metal base. Once secured, place the plastic covers over the top and bottom of the central holder.
- Install Casters: Firmly push each of the five casters into the holes at the end of each leg of the metal base until they click into place.
- Attach Mechanism Plate: Secure the mechanism plate to the underside of the seat cushion using the provided bolts. Ensure the front of the mechanism plate aligns with the front of the seat cushion. Do not fully tighten bolts until all are in place.
- Insert Gas Lift: Insert the wider end of the gas lift into the central hole of the assembled five-star base.
- Connect Seat to Base: Place the seat cushion (with the mechanism plate attached) onto the top of the gas lift, ensuring it is centered and stable.
- Attach Armrests to Backrest: Secure the armrests to the backrest using the designated bolts. It may be helpful to use a small torch to align the holes. Partially tighten these bolts.
- Connect Armrests/Backrest to Seat: Align the armrests with the pre-drilled holes on the sides of the seat cushion. Secure them with the remaining bolts. This step can be challenging; try to attach one side partially, then the other, before fully tightening. Laying the chair sideways may assist.
- Final Tightening: Once all components are loosely assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts using the provided allen key. Ensure all connections are secure.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Height Adjustment
To adjust the seat height, locate the lever on the right side under the seat. While seated, pull the lever up to lower the seat. To raise the seat, stand up slightly and pull the lever up. Release the lever at your desired height. The chair offers approximately 10 cm of height adjustment.
5.2. Backrest Reclining and Locking
The chair features a synchronized backrest reclining function, allowing you to tilt back up to 110 degrees. To recline, pull the lever on the left side under the seat outwards. To lock the backrest in an upright position, push the lever inwards.
