1. Product Overview

The ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE11000 is a high-performance Wi-Fi 6E router designed for demanding network environments. It supports the newly opened 6GHz band, offering wider channels and higher capacity with reduced interference. This tri-band wireless gaming router delivers speeds up to 11000 Mbps and includes features like a 2.5 Gigabit LAN/WAN Port and WAN Aggregation for optimized network traffic.

2. Setup

2.1 Physical Connection

Before configuring your router, ensure all necessary physical connections are made correctly.

1. Connect your modem to the router's WAN port using an Ethernet cable.
2. Connect your computer or laptop to one of the router's LAN ports using an Ethernet cable.
3. Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on the router.
4. Verify the LED indicators on the front of the router. The Power, Wi-Fi, Internet, and LAN LEDs should be illuminated, indicating proper connection and operation.

2.2 Initial Configuration (Quick Internet Setup)

The Quick Internet Setup (QIS) wizard guides you through the initial router configuration.

1. Open a web browser on your connected computer and type router.asus.com in the address bar.
2. Enter the default login credentials (usually username: admin, password: admin). If these do not work, refer to the sticker on the bottom of your router or the product manual for default credentials.
3. The QIS wizard will launch. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure your internet connection type (PPPoE, Static IP, or Automatic IP) and set up your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.

3.1 Wi-Fi 6E Technology

The GT-AXE11000 leverages Wi-Fi 6E, extending Wi-Fi capabilities into the 6GHz band. This band offers dedicated channels for Wi-Fi 6E-compatible devices, significantly reducing interference and providing massive capacity for a seamless experience.

3.2 Gaming Features

The router includes several features to optimize your gaming experience:

• WAN Aggregation: Combines two 1Gbps internet connections to achieve higher bandwidth for improved network performance.
• Gaming Boost: Prioritizes game data packets to reduce lag and improve responsiveness.
• Game Server Optimization: Optimizes ping and latency to game servers.
• Gaming VPN: Reduces ping times to game servers by routing traffic through optimized VPN tunnels.

3.3 AiMesh Support

The GT-AXE11000 supports ASUS AiMesh, allowing you to create a whole-home mesh Wi-Fi system by combining multiple AiMesh-compatible ASUS routers. This provides seamless roaming and extended coverage throughout your home.

4. Maintenance

4.1 Firmware Update

Keeping your router's firmware up to date ensures optimal performance, security, and access to the latest features. You can update the firmware via the router's web interface.

4.2 Restore to Default Settings

If you encounter persistent issues or wish to clear all custom configurations, you can restore the router to its factory default settings. This can be done via the web interface or by using the physical reset button.

5. Troubleshooting

5.1 Internet Connection Problems

If your devices cannot access the internet after connecting to the router, follow these steps:

1. Check LED Lights: Ensure the Power, Wi-Fi, Internet, and LAN LEDs on the router are illuminated. If any are off or blinking unexpectedly, refer to the manual for LED status explanations.
2. Verify Cable Connections: Ensure all Ethernet cables (modem to router, router to computer) are securely plugged in.
3. Check WAN Settings: Access the router's web interface and navigate to the WAN settings. Confirm that the WAN connection type (PPPoE, Static IP, or Automatic IP) and associated details are correct as provided by your Internet Service Provider.
4. Update Firmware: Ensure your router's firmware is up to date. Outdated firmware can cause connectivity issues.
5. Restart Router: Power cycle your router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
6. Factory Reset: As a last resort, perform a factory reset. Note that this will erase all custom settings.
