1. Introduction

The Depusheng HT4 is a compact and versatile 4-channel audio mixer designed for various audio applications, including live sound, studio recording, DJ performances, and home entertainment. It features built-in Bluetooth connectivity, USB playback, and a professional 3-band equalizer for each channel, along with integrated DSP reverb effects. This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your HT4 mixer.

2. Safety Instructions

• Power Supply: Use only the specified power adapter (220V AC) to prevent damage or electric shock.
• Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or operate it in wet conditions. Avoid placing liquid-filled objects on the mixer.
• Ventilation: Ensure proper ventilation. Do not block ventilation openings.
• Heat Sources: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other heat-producing appliances.

3.1 Channel Input Section

• Microphone Input (XLR): Connect microphones using an XLR cable.
• Line Input (6.35mm): Connect line-level devices such as keyboards or guitars.
• Insert: For connecting external effects processors to a specific channel.
• Gain Adjustment: Controls the input sensitivity of the channel.
• Pan (Distributed Control): Adjusts the stereo positioning of the channel's signal (left to right).
• Three Sections of Equilibrium (3-Band EQ): Controls for High, Mid, and Low frequencies to shape the tone of the channel.

4. Setup

4.1 Power Connection

1. Ensure the mixer's power switch is in the OFF position.
2. Connect the provided power adapter to the mixer's power input.
3. Plug the power adapter into a standard 220V AC electrical outlet.
4. Turn the mixer's power switch ON.

4.2 Input/Output Connections

• Microphones: Connect microphones to the XLR inputs (channels 1-2). If using condenser microphones, activate the +48V phantom power switch.
• Line-Level Instruments: Connect instruments like keyboards or electronic drums to the 6.35mm Line inputs.
• Main Output: Connect the RCA Main Outputs to your amplifier, powered speakers, or recording interface.
• Headphones: Connect your headphones to the 6.35mm PHONE output for monitoring.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Press the 'MODE' button on the digital MP3 player section until 'Bluetooth' mode is selected. The display will show 'BT'.
2. On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), search for available devices.
3. Select 'Depusheng HT4' from the list to pair.
4. Once paired, audio from your device will play through the mixer.

4.4 USB Playback

1. Insert a USB flash drive containing MP3 audio files into the USB port on the digital MP3 player section.
2. The mixer will automatically detect the USB drive and begin playback. If not, press the 'MODE' button to select 'USB' mode.
3. Use the Play/Pause, Next, and Previous buttons to control playback.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Adjusting Input Levels (Gain)

The Gain knob controls the input sensitivity for each channel. Adjust it so that the PEAK LED on the channel only flashes occasionally during the loudest parts of the signal. Avoid constant illumination of the PEAK LED, which indicates clipping and distortion.

5.2 Equalization (3-Band EQ)

Each channel features a 3-band equalizer:

• HIGH: Adjusts the treble frequencies.
• MID: Adjusts the mid-range frequencies.
• LOW: Adjusts the bass frequencies.

Use these controls to shape the tone of each input source. Start with all EQ knobs at the center (0dB) position and make subtle adjustments as needed.

5.3 Pan Control

The PAN knob allows you to position the channel's signal within the stereo field, from full left (L) to full right (R).

5.4 Reverb Effect (EFF)

The EFF knob on each channel sends a portion of that channel's signal to the built-in reverb processor. The overall level of the reverb effect is controlled by the EFF SEND knob in the main section.

• Channel Faders: Adjust the individual volume of each channel.
• MAIN Fader: Controls the overall output volume of the mixer. Adjust this to achieve the desired listening level without distortion.

5.6 Monitoring

Use the PHONE knob to adjust the volume of your headphones connected to the PHONE output. This allows you to monitor the mix without affecting the main output.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mixer. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or waxes.
• Storage: When not in use, store the mixer in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
• Cable Management: Avoid bending or crimping cables excessively. Disconnect cables properly by pulling the connector, not the cable itself.
