3. Setup
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wash the coffee bean hopper lid, ground coffee container, and its lid in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a damp cloth.
- Assemble: Ensure the removable burr is securely placed in the grinding chamber. Place the ground coffee container into its designated slot on the base.

4. Operating Instructions
- Fill the Bean Hopper: Open the lid of the coffee bean hopper and pour whole coffee beans into the chamber. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (approximately 5.8oz / 164g). Close the lid securely.
- Select Grind Size: Rotate the grind selector dial to choose your desired fineness. Settings range from 1 (extra-fine) to 17 (coarse). Refer to the grind chart below for recommendations based on brewing method.
- Set Cup Quantity: Rotate the cup selector dial to choose the number of cups you wish to grind, from 2 to 12.
- Start Grinding: Plug the grinder into a power outlet. Press the power button located on the top of the unit to begin grinding. The grinder will automatically stop once the selected quantity is ground.
- Remove Ground Coffee: Once grinding is complete, unplug the unit. Carefully remove the ground coffee container from the base and pour the fresh grounds into your brewing device.

5. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and extends the life of your coffee grinder.
- Unplug: Always unplug the grinder from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Remove Ground Coffee Container: Empty any remaining ground coffee.
- Remove Burr: Carefully remove the upper burr by twisting it counter-clockwise and lifting it out.
- Clean Burr and Chamber: Use a soft brush (often included) to remove coffee grounds from the burr and the grinding chamber.
- Wash Components: The coffee bean hopper lid, ground coffee container, and its lid can be washed in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely before reassembling.
- Wipe Base: Wipe the exterior of the motor base with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor base in water.
- Reassemble: Once all parts are dry, reinsert the burr by aligning it and twisting clockwise until secure. Place the ground coffee container back into its slot.

6. Troubleshooting
- Grinder does not start:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet.
- Check that the coffee bean hopper lid and ground coffee container are correctly in place. The grinder has safety interlocks that prevent operation if components are not properly assembled.
- Uneven grind:
- Ensure the burr is clean and free of old coffee grounds or debris.
- Verify that the burr is correctly seated and secured.
- Beans are not feeding:
- Check for any blockages in the bean hopper or grinding chamber.
- Ensure the beans are not excessively oily, which can cause clumping.
