5. Setup

5.1 Power Connection

Your Soundblaster DAB Boombox can be powered by AC mains or batteries.

• AC Power: Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC IN jack on the back of the unit and then to a standard wall outlet.
• Battery Power: For portable use, open the battery compartment on the back of the unit and insert the required number of batteries (type not specified, refer to device markings for correct battery type and polarity).

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Power On/Off

Press the POWER button on the unit or remote control to turn the boombox on or off.

6.2 Mode Selection

Press the MODE button repeatedly to cycle through available modes: CD, USB, SD, Bluetooth, DAB+, FM, AUX.

6.3 CD Playback

1. Open the CD compartment cover on top of the unit.
2. Place a CD (audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, or MP3 CD) onto the spindle with the label side facing up.
3. Close the CD compartment cover.
4. Select CD mode. The CD will begin playing automatically.
5. Use PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons for control.

6.4 USB/SD Playback

1. Insert a USB flash drive into the USB port or an SD card into the SD CARD slot.
2. Select USB or SD mode.
3. The device will automatically detect and play compatible audio files (e.g., MP3).
4. Use PLAY/PAUSE, SKIP FORWARD, and SKIP BACKWARD buttons for control.

6.5 Bluetooth Pairing

1. Select Bluetooth mode. The display will show "BT" and the device will enter pairing mode.

2. Select FM mode.
3. Use the TUNING knob to manually tune to a station or press and hold SKIP buttons for automatic scanning.

6.8 AUX Input

1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the AUX IN jack using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).
