Setup Instructions
- Connect the Antenna: Connect the coaxial cable from the ANTOP AT-500SBS antenna to the "ANT. IN" port on the Smart Boost System Power Booster.
- Connect to TV/FM Device: Connect a coaxial cable (not included, or use the provided 15ft cable if connecting directly to TV) from the "TV/FM/Device" output port on the Power Booster to the ANT/IN or CABLE IN port on your television or FM stereo receiver. If connecting to two devices, use the two output ports labeled "TV" and "FM/Device".
- Power the Booster: Plug the DC 12V power adapter into the "DC 12V" input on the Power Booster, then plug the adapter into a standard electrical outlet. The LED indicator on the Power Booster will illuminate.
- Scan for Channels: Access your television's setup menu, select "Antenna" or "Air" as the input source, and perform an automatic channel scan. Refer to your TV's manual for specific instructions on channel scanning.

Operating Instructions
Smart Boost System
The Smart Boost System Power Booster features an adjustment dial to fine-tune the antenna's gain. This allows for optimization of signal reception based on your location and signal strength.
- To increase gain (for weaker signals), turn the dial clockwise.
- To reduce gain (for stronger signals to prevent over-amplification), turn the dial counter-clockwise.
Built-in 4G LTE Filter
The antenna includes a built-in 4G LTE Filter. This filter is designed to block interference from 3G and 4G wireless signals, which can cause picture pixelation and signal loss, ensuring clearer digital TV reception.
Multi-Directional Reception
The ANTOP AT-500SBS antenna is engineered with a multi-directional reception pattern, allowing it to receive signals from various directions without needing to be constantly re-positioned. It provides a signal reception range of up to 80 miles under ideal conditions.

Antenna Placement
Optimal antenna placement is crucial for maximizing signal reception. The ANTOP AT-500SBS offers flexible mounting options:
- Horizontal Wall Mounting: The antenna can be mounted horizontally on a wall, typically above or near your television.
- Vertical Wall Mounting: The antenna can also be mounted vertically on a wall.
- Horizontal Table Top Mounting: Use the included stand to place the antenna horizontally on a flat surface, such as a TV stand or shelf.
- Vertical Table Top Mounting: Use the included stand to place the antenna vertically on a flat surface.
Consider the following for best results:
- Place the antenna as high as possible.
- Position the antenna towards the broadcast towers in your area. Websites like FCC DTV Reception Maps can help identify tower locations.
- Avoid placing the antenna near large metal objects or other electronic devices that may cause interference.
- Experiment with different orientations (horizontal vs. vertical) and locations to find the best reception for your specific environment.

Troubleshooting
- No Signal/Poor Picture Quality:
- Ensure all connections are secure between the antenna, power booster, and TV.
- Verify the power adapter is correctly plugged in and the LED on the power booster is illuminated.
- Adjust the gain dial on the Smart Boost System. Turning it clockwise increases gain, counter-clockwise decreases it.
- Reposition the antenna. Try different locations and orientations (horizontal/vertical, higher up, closer to a window).
- Perform a new channel scan on your TV after any adjustments.
- Check for local broadcast tower locations using online resources and aim the antenna in that general direction.
- Missing Channels:
- Ensure your TV's input is set to "Antenna" or "Air".
- Perform a full channel scan.
- Adjust antenna placement and re-scan.
- Some channels may be too far or obstructed for reliable reception.
- Interference from Mobile Signals:
- The built-in 4G LTE filter helps mitigate this. If issues persist, try moving the antenna away from mobile phones or cellular devices.
