4. Setup

1. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the scale. Insert the two D batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
2. Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface to ensure accurate readings. Avoid soft or uneven surfaces.
3. Protective Film: If present, gently peel off any protective film from the stainless steel weighing platform before first use.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To Power On: Press the ON/OFF button. The LCD display will light up and show '0'.
• To Power Off: Press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shut-off after 2 minutes of inactivity.

5.2 Unit Conversion

• Press the UNIT button to cycle through the available measurement units: g, kg, lb:oz, fl.oz, ml, and milk (ml).
• The selected unit will be displayed on the LCD screen.

5.3 Tare Function

• Place an empty container on the weighing platform.
• Press the Z/T (Tare) button. The display will reset to '0', effectively subtracting the weight of the container.
• You can now add ingredients to the container, and the scale will display only the weight of the added items.

5.4 Weighing Items

• Ensure the scale is powered on and displaying '0'.
• Place the item(s) to be weighed directly onto the center of the weighing platform.
• Read the weight displayed on the LCD screen.
