2. Safety Information

- Ensure adequate ventilation when charging batteries to prevent gas accumulation.
- Never smoke or allow a spark or flame in the vicinity of the battery or engine.
- Connect the charger output clips to the battery terminals in the correct polarity: RED to POSITIVE (+), BLACK to NEGATIVE (-).
- Disconnect the AC power before connecting or disconnecting the battery clips.
- Do not expose the charger to rain or wet conditions.
- Keep out of reach of children.

4. Setup
4.1. MP00205B Battery Charger/Maintainer Setup
Before connecting, ensure the charger is unplugged from the AC power outlet.
- Choose Connection Method: Select either the Alligator Clamp Harness or the Ring Terminals Harness based on your battery type and preference. Both connect to the charger unit via an SAE quick-release connector.
- Connect to Battery:
- Connect the RED (+) clip/terminal to the positive (+) battery terminal.
- Connect the BLACK (-) clip/terminal to the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Connect to Power: Plug the charger's AC power cord into a standard 100-240V AC wall outlet. The charger will automatically begin its charging cycle.

4.2. MP69033 OBD2 Code Reader Setup
- Locate OBD2 Port: The OBD2 port is typically located under the dashboard on the driver's side of the vehicle.
- Connect Scanner: Plug the MP69033 OBD2 scanner's cable into the vehicle's OBD2 port. Ensure a secure connection.
- Power On: The scanner will usually power on automatically once connected to the vehicle's OBD2 port.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. MP00205B Battery Charger/Maintainer Operation
- Automatic Charging: Once connected to the battery and AC power, the charger automatically detects the battery status and initiates the appropriate charging mode.
- LED Indicators: The charger features LED indicators to show the charging status:
- Red LED (Charging/Desulfating): Indicates the battery is actively charging or undergoing desulfation.
- Green LED (Absorption/Charged/Maintain): Indicates the battery is in the absorption phase, fully charged, or in maintenance mode.
- Pulse Charging Technology: The charger uses pulse charging to optimize battery performance and extend its lifespan, especially for batteries in poor condition. This includes a soft start and desulfation for weak batteries, and an absorption pulse mode for a 100% full charge.
- Maintenance Mode: After the battery is fully charged, the charger automatically switches to a maintenance (float) mode, keeping the battery at an optimal 13.6V without overcharging.

5.2. MP69033 OBD2 Code Reader Operation
- Read Codes: Access and display Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) that have triggered the Check Engine Light.
- Erase Codes: Clear DTCs from the vehicle's computer. Note: Erasing codes does not fix the underlying problem.
- View Freeze Frame: Display a snapshot of sensor readings at the moment a fault code was set.
- I/M Readiness: Check if the vehicle's emission systems are ready for inspection.
- Vehicle Information: Retrieve vehicle identification number (VIN), calibration ID, and calibration verification number (CVN).
- Data Flow/Real-time Curve: Monitor live sensor data in numerical or graphical format, including vehicle speed, calculated load value, engine coolant temperature, and engine RPM.
- DTC Lookup Library: Use the built-in library to understand the meaning of generic and manufacturer-specific fault codes.

6. Maintenance
6.1. Charger/Maintainer Care
- Keep the charger clean and dry. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth.
- Inspect cables and connectors regularly for damage. Replace if necessary.
- Store the charger in a cool, dry place when not in use.
6.2. Battery Care
- Regularly check battery fluid levels for flooded batteries and top up with distilled water if needed.
- Keep battery terminals clean and free of corrosion.

7. Troubleshooting
7.1. Charger/Maintainer Issues
- Charger not turning on: Ensure the AC power cord is securely plugged into a live outlet. Check for tripped circuit breakers.
- Charger not indicating 'Charging': Verify that the battery clips/terminals are correctly connected to the battery terminals (RED to +, BLACK to -). The battery might be fully charged already.
- Charger not reaching 'Charged' status: The battery may be deeply discharged or faulty. Allow more time for charging or have the battery tested by a professional.
7.2. OBD2 Scanner Issues
- Scanner not powering on: Ensure the scanner is securely connected to the vehicle's OBD2 port. Check the vehicle's battery voltage.
- Communication error: Verify the vehicle's ignition is ON. Check for loose connections. Try the scanner on another vehicle to rule out a scanner fault.
- No codes found: The Check Engine Light may not be on, or the issue might not be emissions-related.
