This system includes a dial remote control and a receiver unit, allowing users to wirelessly adjust the power and brightness of their lighting. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.

Safety Information

  • This product is designed for use with Lightkiwi modular LED under cabinet lighting systems. Ensure compatibility before connecting to other products.
  • Verify that the operating voltage of your lighting system is within the specified range of 12-24V DC.
  • Do not exceed the maximum load rating of 6A (12V:<72W, 24V:<144W).
  • Ensure correct battery polarity when installing AAA batteries in the remote control.
  • Keep the device away from water and excessive moisture.
  • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the device yourself. Contact support if issues arise.

This dial-shaped remote allows for intuitive control of your lighting. It features a push-button function for power on/off and a rotational function for dimming. Its wireless capability provides flexibility in placement.

RF Remote Receiver

The receiver unit connects between your power supply and the LED lighting system. It receives signals from the wireless dial remote control to manage the power and brightness of the connected lights.

Setup

1. Install Batteries in Remote Control

  1. Gently twist the top silver part of the dial remote counter-clockwise to separate it from the black base.
  2. Insert two (2) AAA batteries into the battery compartment, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Align the top silver part with the black base and twist clockwise to secure it.

2. Connect the RF Remote Receiver

  1. Locate your plug-in power supply for the LED under cabinet lighting system.
  2. Connect the male connector of your power supply to the female input connector of the RF remote receiver.
  3. Connect the male output connector of the RF remote receiver to the female input connector of your Lightkiwi modular LED under cabinet lighting (or a splitter if used).
  4. Ensure all connections are secure.

3. Mounting the Remote Control (Optional)

The remote control can be mounted using the included 3M double-sided adhesive tape on the back of the black base. Ensure the mounting surface is clean and dry for optimal adhesion.

Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Short-click (press and release) the top of the dial remote control to turn the connected LED lighting system on or off.
  2. Adjust Brightness:
    • Rotate the dial remote control clockwise to increase the brightness of the lights.
    • Rotate the dial remote control counter-clockwise to decrease the brightness of the lights.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the remote control and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Battery Replacement: When the remote control's range or responsiveness decreases, replace the AAA batteries as described in the Setup section.
  • Storage: If storing the device for an extended period, remove the batteries from the remote control to prevent leakage.

Troubleshooting

  • Lights not turning on/off:
    • Check if the remote control batteries are installed correctly and are not depleted. Replace if necessary.
    • Ensure all connections between the power supply, receiver, and LED lights are secure.
    • Verify that the power supply is functioning and providing power to the system.
  • Lights not dimming:
    • Confirm that the remote control batteries are fresh.
    • Ensure the remote control is within the effective wireless range (up to 98ft/30m) of the receiver.
    • Check for any obstructions between the remote and receiver that might interfere with the signal.
  • Intermittent control:
    • Replace remote control batteries.
    • Relocate the receiver or remote to minimize interference from other wireless devices.
