3. Setup and Installation

The MAXTO headset is designed to fit various helmet styles. Choose the appropriate mounting method for your helmet.

3.1 Helmet Compatibility

The headset is compatible with most full-face, open-face, and modular motorcycle helmets.

3.2 Mounting the Main Unit

Choose between the clip-on bracket or the adhesive bracket:

  • Clip-on Bracket: Slide the bracket between the helmet shell and the inner padding on the left side. Secure it with the provided hex wrench.
  • Adhesive Bracket: Clean the desired mounting area on the left side of the helmet. Peel off the protective film from the adhesive bracket and firmly press it onto the helmet for at least 30 seconds. Allow 24 hours for the adhesive to fully cure before use.

Once the bracket is secured, slide the main unit onto the bracket until it clicks into place.

3.3 Installing Speakers and Microphone

  • Attach the adhesive pads to the back of the speakers.
  • Place the speakers inside the helmet's ear pockets, ensuring they are centered over your ears for optimal audio.
  • For full-face helmets, use the soft wire microphone and route it along the helmet's interior to the mouth area.
  • For open-face or modular helmets, use the boom microphone and position it close to your mouth.
  • Connect the speaker/microphone cable to the appropriate port on the main unit.

3.4 Charging the Device

Before first use, fully charge the headset. Connect the provided USB Type-C charging cable to the charging port on the main unit and to a USB power source (e.g., computer, wall adapter).

  • Play/Pause: Press the Multi-function button once.
  • Next Track: Press the 'Next' button.
  • Previous Track: Press the 'Previous' button.

The MAXTO headset supports up to 6 riders for intercom communication over a maximum distance of 3280 feet (1000 meters).
