2. General Safety Instructions
WARNING: Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection when operating the chainsaw.
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
- Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.
- Always maintain proper footing and balance. Do not overreach.
- Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair and clothing away from moving parts.
- Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection must be used for appropriate conditions.
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application.
- Disconnect the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.
- Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired before use.
- Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
- Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc., in accordance with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions and the work to be performed.
- Always use the supplied safety guard when operating the chainsaw.

6. Maintenance
6.1 Chain Sharpening
Use the provided sharpening tool to maintain the sharpness of the saw chain teeth. A sharp chain ensures efficient cutting and reduces strain on the motor.
6.2 Chain Tensioning
Regularly check and adjust the chain tension using the provided screwdriver. A properly tensioned chain prevents it from popping off during operation and ensures safe use.
6.3 Cleaning
After each use, clean the chainsaw, especially the guide bar and chain area, to remove sawdust and debris. Use the provided brush for effective cleaning.
6.4 Lubrication
Always ensure the chain is adequately lubricated. Apply oil to the chain frequently during use to reduce friction and heat buildup, which helps prevent wear and tear.
7. Troubleshooting
- Chainsaw not starting: Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly inserted. Confirm both the safety lock and power switch are pressed simultaneously.
- Chain popping off: Check the chain tension. Use the screwdriver to tighten the chain as needed.
- Reduced cutting performance: The chain may be dull or improperly tensioned. Sharpen the chain or adjust its tension. Ensure adequate lubrication.
- Overheating: Avoid continuous heavy use. Allow the tool to cool down. Ensure the chain is well-lubricated and sharp to reduce motor strain.
