3. Setup
Your CATIGA CD-2786 calculator comes with a pre-installed LR44 battery. It also features a solar panel for dual power operation.
3.1 Power Source
- Solar Power: The calculator will primarily use solar power when sufficient light is available. Ensure the solar panel (located above the display) is exposed to light for optimal performance.
- Battery Power: In low-light conditions or when solar power is insufficient, the calculator automatically switches to battery power. The included LR44 battery provides reliable backup.
3.2 Initial Use

- ON/AC (On/All Clear): Turns the calculator on or clears all entries and memory.
- C/CE (Clear Entry/Clear): Clears the last entered number or the current calculation without affecting memory. Press once to clear entry, twice to clear all.
- Backspace (►): Deletes the last digit entered.
- Percentage (%): Used for percentage calculations. Example: 100 + 10% = 110.
- Square Root (√): Calculates the square root of the displayed number.
- Memory Plus (M+): Adds the displayed number to the memory.
- Memory Minus (M-): Subtracts the displayed number from the memory.
- Memory Recall/Clear (MRC): Press once to recall the memory value. Press twice to clear the memory.
- Grand Total (GT): Displays the grand total of all results from previous calculations.
