5. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your aroma diffuser for first use:
- Place the diffuser on a flat, stable surface away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
- Remove the top cover of the diffuser.
- Using the provided filling cup, fill the water tank with clean tap water up to the maximum fill line (500 ml). Do not overfill.
- Add 2-3 drops of your preferred essential oil directly into the water tank. Adjust the amount based on desired aroma intensity.
- Replace the top cover securely.
- Connect the power adapter to the diffuser's power input, then plug it into a suitable electrical outlet.

6. Operating Instructions
6.1. Power On/Off
Press the power button (⏻) on the front panel to turn the diffuser on or off. The LED display will illuminate when the device is active.
6.2. Operating Modes
The diffuser offers 3 operating modes to adjust mist intensity:
- Low: Gentle mist output.
- Medium: Moderate mist output.
- High: Strong mist output (25 ml/h).
Cycle through the modes by pressing the mist control button (usually indicated by a mist icon or 'Mode').
6.3. Timer Function
The diffuser features a 12-hour timer. Press the timer button (clock icon) repeatedly to select the desired operating duration. The device will automatically shut off once the set time expires.
6.4. LED Light Control
The diffuser includes 7 LED colors to create a relaxing ambiance. Press the light button (light bulb icon) to:
- Cycle through individual colors.
- Set a fixed color.
- Enable a color-changing mode.
- Turn the light off.
6.5. Bluetooth and App Control
The PureAroma 550 can be controlled via Bluetooth and a dedicated mobile application. This allows for remote control of functions, including setting alarms and managing operating modes.
- Download the official Cecotec app from your smartphone's app store.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to pair your device.
- Once connected, you can control the diffuser's settings, including mist intensity, LED lights, timer, and alarm functions directly from your phone.

7. Maintenance and Care
Regular cleaning is essential to ensure optimal performance and longevity of your diffuser.
- Daily Cleaning: After each use, empty any remaining water from the tank. Wipe the inside of the tank with a clean cloth.
- Weekly Cleaning: Unplug the device. Fill the water tank with 100ml of clean water and add 2-3 drops of white vinegar. Run the diffuser for 10-15 minutes to clean the ultrasonic plate. Then, drain the water and wipe the tank clean with a soft cloth.
- Never use harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the device.
- Ensure the device is completely dry before storing or refilling.
8. Troubleshooting
