5. Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for safe and efficient operation. It is highly recommended that installation be performed by a certified professional.
5.1. Mounting
The unit is designed for wall-mounting. Use the provided upper and lower supports to secure the heater firmly to a suitable wall in a well-ventilated area. Ensure there is adequate space around the unit for maintenance and proper airflow.

5.2. Connections
Refer to Figure 5.2 for connection points. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
- Gas Inlet: Connect the 9.5 mm gas hose to the gas inlet.
- Water Intake: Connect the G1/2" (1.27 cm) water tube to the water intake.
- Water Outlet: Connect the hot water line to the water outlet.
- Battery Compartment: Install the required IC battery (not included) for automatic ignition.
- Exhaust Vent: Ensure the exhaust vent is properly installed and clear to prevent fume reflux and ensure ample ventilation.

6. Operating Instructions
This section details how to operate your CO-Z instant gas water heater.
6.1. Control Panel
The control panel allows you to adjust gas and water flow to achieve your desired water temperature. The LED display shows the current water temperature.

- Gas Regulator: Adjusts the gas flow (Min to Max) to control heating intensity.
- Water Regulator: Adjusts the water flow (Min to Max). Lower flow generally results in hotter water.
- Winter/Summer Mode Selector: Optimizes gas consumption based on ambient temperature. Select 'Winter' for colder conditions and 'Summer' for warmer conditions.
- LED Display: Shows the real-time water temperature.
6.2. Starting the Unit
- Ensure the gas supply is open and the water supply is connected and turned on.
- Verify that the IC battery is correctly installed in the battery compartment.
- Turn on the power switch (refer to Figure 5.2).
- Open a hot water tap. The unit will automatically ignite, and hot water will begin to flow.
- Adjust the Gas Regulator and Water Regulator to achieve your desired water temperature.
- Select 'Winter' or 'Summer' mode as appropriate for the season.
6.3. Shutting Down
To turn off the unit, simply close all hot water taps. The unit will automatically cease operation. For extended periods of non-use, it is recommended to close the main gas supply valve and turn off the power switch.

- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
