5. Setup and Installation
5.1 Mounting
The flood light features an adjustable metal bracket for flexible mounting. It can be wall-mounted, ceiling-mounted, or placed on the ground. Ensure the mounting surface is stable and can support the weight of the light.
- Position the light in the desired location.
- Mark the drilling points for the bracket.
- Drill holes and secure the bracket using appropriate screws (not included).
- Adjust the angle of the light by loosening the screws on the side of the bracket, tilting the light, and then tightening the screws to secure the position. The light can rotate up to 360 degrees on its axis.

5.2 Electrical Connection
Connect the US 3-plug power cord to a standard 85-265V AC power outlet. Ensure the outlet is protected from direct water exposure, even though the light itself is IP66 rated.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Remote Control Functions
The MELPO flood light is controlled by the included IR remote. Point the remote directly at the IR signal acceptor on the light for optimal response.

- On/Off: Power button to turn the light on or off.
- Color Buttons: Select from 12 distinct RGB colors.
- White Light: Activates a mixed white light.
- Dim Up/Down: Adjusts the brightness of the selected color or mode. For DIY Flash mode, these buttons control the flashing speed.
- Timer: Activates the timing function (see section 6.3).
- Mode Buttons:
- Fresh: A dynamic color changing mode.
- Romantic: A softer, more gradual color transition mode.
- Smooth: A continuous, smooth color cycle.
- DIY-FLASH: Allows customization of color change order and flashing speed. Press the DIY-FLASH button, then use the color buttons to select colors for the sequence, and Dim Up/Down to adjust speed.
6.2 Memory Function
The flood light is equipped with a memory function. When the light is turned off and then back on, it will resume the last selected color or mode and brightness setting.
6.3 Timing Function
The built-in timing chips allow you to set a daily automatic on/off schedule for your preferred color or mode.
- Press the Timer button on the remote control.
- The light will flash once to confirm the timing function is activated.
- The light will now turn on and off at the same time each day as it was when the timer was set.
- To deactivate the timing function, press the Timer button again. The light will flash twice to confirm deactivation.
