8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your STTWUNAKE N1 recorder, please refer to the following common solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Device does not turn on/function.Low battery; incorrect switch position.Ensure the device is fully charged. Verify the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position.
Poor recording quality / Background noise.High ambient noise; microphone too far from source; VOR sensitivity.Ensure the recording environment is quiet. Place the recorder closer to the audio source. If using VOR, ensure sound levels are consistently above 35dB. The DSP chip reduces noise, but extreme noise may still affect quality.
Battery drains quickly.Continuous recording for extended periods; aging battery.Utilize the Voice Activated Recording (VOR) function to conserve battery. Ensure the device is fully charged before use. If the battery life significantly degrades over time, it may indicate battery wear.
Cannot connect to computer / View files.Faulty USB cable; incorrect connection; driver issue.Try a different USB port or cable. Ensure the cable is securely connected to both the recorder and the computer. Restart your computer.
