Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present and undamaged:

  • 1 x V BESTLIFE Water Cooling Filter

4. Safety Information

Observe the following safety precautions during installation and maintenance:

  • Ensure the computer system is powered off and disconnected from the main power supply before beginning any installation or maintenance.
  • Handle all liquid cooling components with care to prevent leaks.
  • Use appropriate tools and avoid over-tightening fittings, which can cause damage.
  • Keep cooling fluid away from electrical components. In case of spills, clean thoroughly and allow to dry completely before powering on the system.

5. Setup and Installation

The water cooling filter is designed for easy integration into your existing liquid cooling loop. It can be installed at any point in the loop where you wish to capture impurities, commonly before the pump or radiator.

  1. Prepare the Loop: Drain your existing liquid cooling system completely.
  2. Identify Installation Point: Choose a suitable location in your cooling loop. Ensure there is enough space for the filter.
  3. Connect Fittings: Using standard G1/4'' fittings (not included), connect the filter into the tubing. Ensure a secure, leak-free connection. Hand-tighten fittings first, then use a wrench if necessary, but avoid excessive force.
  4. Refill System: Once the filter is securely installed, refill your liquid cooling system with appropriate coolant.
  5. Leak Test: Before powering on the computer, perform a thorough leak test. Run the pump for several hours with the system off, checking for any signs of leaks.

6. Operation

Once installed, the V BESTLIFE Water Cooling Filter operates passively as part of your liquid cooling system. As coolant circulates, it passes through the fine mesh screens within the filter. These screens trap particulate matter, preventing it from reaching and potentially damaging the pump, water blocks, or radiator fins. The transparent body allows for visual inspection of the filter's condition and the accumulation of impurities.

7. Maintenance

Regular maintenance of the filter is crucial to maintain optimal cooling performance and extend the lifespan of your liquid cooling components.

  1. Inspection: Periodically inspect the filter through its transparent body. If a significant amount of debris is visible, or if you notice a decrease in coolant flow, it is time for cleaning.
  2. Disassembly: Power off and drain the cooling system. Carefully unscrew the end caps of the filter. The internal filter screens can then be removed.
  3. Cleaning: Rinse the filter screens under clean running water to remove trapped particles. For stubborn deposits, a soft brush and mild soap (ensure it's safe for cooling systems) can be used. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue.
  4. Reassembly: Ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling. Carefully place the clean filter screens back into the transparent body and screw the end caps back on, ensuring a snug fit.
  5. Reinstallation: Reinstall the filter into your cooling loop as described in the Setup section, and perform a leak test before powering on.

8. Troubleshooting

  • Reduced Coolant Flow: If you observe a noticeable reduction in coolant flow, the filter screens may be clogged. Refer to the Maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
  • Visible Impurities After Filtration: If impurities are still visible in the loop after passing through the filter, ensure the filter is correctly installed and that the screens are not damaged. The filter is designed to capture larger particulates; extremely fine particles may still pass through.
  • Leaks: If leaks occur around the filter, ensure all G1/4'' fittings are properly tightened and that O-rings (if applicable to your fittings) are correctly seated and not damaged.
