Setup and Installation

1. Choose a Mounting Location: Select a flat, clean surface on your vehicle's dashboard that does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls. Ensure the chosen area is free from dust, grease, and moisture.
2. Prepare the Surface: Clean the chosen dashboard area with an alcohol wipe and allow it to dry completely. This ensures optimal adhesion for the dash ball mount.
3. Attach the Dash Ball Mount: Remove the backing from the 3M VHB adhesive pad on the Steelie Dash Ball Mount. Firmly press the mount onto the prepared dashboard surface for 30 seconds. Allow the adhesive to cure for 24 hours before attaching your phone for maximum bond strength.
4. Prepare the Squeeze Clamp: The Squeeze Clamp is designed to hold your phone securely without magnets directly on the device. It features inner continuous force springs.
5. Attach Phone to Squeeze Clamp: Pinch the levers on the Squeeze Clamp to open the jaws. Insert your smartphone into the clamp and release the levers to secure it. The clamp will hold your phone firmly.
6. Connect Squeeze Clamp to Dash Ball: The back of the Squeeze Clamp contains a magnetic socket. Align this socket with the Steelie Dash Ball Mount and allow the magnetic connection to secure the phone holder to the dash.

Operating Instructions

• Secure Your Phone: Pinch the levers on the Squeeze Clamp to open it, place your phone inside, and release the levers. The clamp's internal springs will hold your phone securely.
• Attach to Dash Mount: Bring the back of the Squeeze Clamp, which contains the magnetic socket, close to the Steelie Dash Ball Mount. The strong neodymium magnet will automatically align and secure your phone holder.
• Adjust Viewing Angle: The Steelie system allows for smooth 360-degree rotation. Gently tilt and rotate your phone to achieve the desired portrait or landscape viewing angle.
• Detaching Your Phone: To remove your phone, simply pull the Squeeze Clamp away from the Dash Ball Mount. Then, pinch the levers on the Squeeze Clamp to release your phone.

• Cleaning: Wipe the surfaces of the Squeeze Clamp and Dash Ball Mount with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the materials or adhesive.
• Adhesive Care: The 3M VHB adhesive is designed for strong, permanent bonding. Avoid repositioning the Dash Ball Mount frequently, as this can weaken the adhesive bond. If removal is necessary, do so carefully to avoid damaging the dashboard surface.
• Magnetic Connection: Keep the magnetic surfaces of the Dash Ball and Squeeze Clamp free from debris to ensure a strong and consistent connection.

Troubleshooting

Problem: Phone holder does not stick to the dashboard.

Solution: Ensure the dashboard surface was thoroughly cleaned and dry before applying the 3M VHB adhesive. Allow the adhesive to cure for the recommended 24 hours without attaching the phone. Extreme temperatures can affect adhesive performance; ensure installation is done in moderate conditions.

Problem: Phone wobbles or does not stay in position.

Solution: Verify that the Squeeze Clamp is properly seated on the Dash Ball Mount. Ensure your phone is securely gripped by the Squeeze Clamp levers. If the issue persists, check for any debris on the magnetic surfaces that might be preventing a full connection.

Problem: Squeeze Clamp does not hold the phone firmly.

Solution: Ensure the phone is centered within the clamp and the levers are fully released to engage the internal springs. The clamp is designed for a wide range of phone sizes; however, extremely thin or thick cases might affect grip. Try removing the phone case if it's unusually bulky.
