1. Setup
1.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, ensure the camera has sufficient power. If using the solar panel, connect it to the camera. For initial charging or if the solar panel is not used, plug the camera into a power supply using a USB cable. Allow 1-2 hours for charging if using the solar panel for the first time or if the battery is low.

- Wi-Fi Connection: Connect the camera to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network. Note: This camera is not compatible with 5G Wi-Fi networks. Enter your Wi-Fi password.
- Confirmation: Once connected, the device will emit a prompt voice or the indicator light will stop flashing. If connection fails, check your network, reset the camera (button in SD card slot), and try again.
- Device Naming: Set a name and an optional password for your device within the app.

2. Operation
2.1 Pan and Tilt Control
The camera offers 360° pan and 90° tilt functionality. Use the EseeCloud app to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle. Ensure the solar panel is connected for pan/tilt functionality if the camera is not directly powered.

2.4 Night Vision Modes
The camera supports both infrared night vision and full-color night vision. Infrared mode provides clear black and white images in low light, while full-color mode uses integrated white lights to capture color images at night.

2.5 Recording and Storage
The camera supports local storage via a TF (microSD) card (not included) and cloud storage options. Ensure the TF card is inserted correctly and formatted within the app if it's not storing motion videos. Activate "PIR" and "Motion Detection Recording" in the app settings to enable recording upon motion detection.
3. Maintenance
3.1 Solar Panel Care
Regularly clean the surface of the solar panel to ensure maximum sunlight absorption and efficient charging. Dust, dirt, or snow can reduce its effectiveness.
3.2 Battery Management
While the solar panel provides continuous power, it's good practice to periodically check the battery level via the app. If the camera is not receiving enough sunlight, consider charging it via the USB port.
3.3 Firmware Updates
Check the EseeCloud app regularly for available firmware updates. Keeping your camera's firmware updated ensures optimal performance, security, and access to new features.
3.4 General Cleaning
Wipe the camera lens and body with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dirt or smudges. Avoid using harsh chemicals that could damage the camera's exterior or lens coating.
4. Troubleshooting
- Camera Not Rotating: If the camera does not rotate via the app, ensure the solar panel's power cable is securely plugged into the camera's tail cable. Pan/tilt functionality requires the solar panel connection.
- Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
- Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4G. The camera is not compatible with 5G Wi-Fi.
- Reset the camera by pressing and holding the reset button (located in the SD card slot).
- Reconnect the device through the EseeCloud app.
- Camera Not Turning On:
- Check if the camera has sufficient battery charge. Fully charge it before initial use.
- If using the solar panel, confirm the connection between the camera and the solar panel is correct.
- Camera Offline / Cannot Connect to Phone App:
- Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4G Wi-Fi network.
- Confirm the EseeCloud app is installed and updated to the latest version.
- Keep your phone, camera, and Wi-Fi router within 30-100 cm during the connection process.
- Reset the camera and attempt to reconnect.
- Wi-Fi QR Code Scan Failure: Update the EseeCloud app to its latest version.
- SD Card Not Storing Motion Video:
- Ensure a TF (microSD) card is inserted into the camera.
- In the EseeCloud app, verify that "PIR" and "Motion Detection Recording" settings are enabled.
- If issues persist, format the SD card through the app.
- "Wireless" Definition: The term "wireless" refers to the camera's Wi-Fi connectivity (2.4Ghz) and its ability to operate without a network cable. It does not imply that the camera is entirely free from power cables, as the solar panel needs to be connected to supply power.
