The Science Can Solar System Model Kit is an interactive and educational toy designed to introduce children to the wonders of our solar system. This kit allows for hands-on assembly, features a talking function for learning about each planet, and includes a projector to display celestial images. It is suitable for children aged 3 years and up.

2. What's Included

  • Solar System Base Unit with central Sun sphere
  • 8 Planet Models (Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune)
  • Planet Support Arms
  • 3 Projector Reel Discs (each with 8 unique images, totaling 24 slides)
  • Instruction Guide

Note: 3 AA batteries are required and not included.

3. Setup Instructions

  1. Battery Installation: Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the base unit. Insert three new 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Secure the battery cover.
  2. Assemble the Solar System:
    • Carefully attach the planet support arms to the central pole, ensuring they are securely fitted without any gaps.
    • Attach each planet model to its corresponding arm. Ensure the central pole is fully pressed down into the base until a slight click is heard, indicating a secure connection. This is crucial for proper functionality.
  3. Prepare for Projection: Select one of the three projector reel discs. Insert the disc into the slot on the side of the Sun sphere, ensuring the convex cylinder faces up.

4. Operating Instructions

  1. Power On/Off: Locate the power switch on the base unit. Slide it to the 'ON' position to activate the model. Slide it to the 'OFF' position to power down.
  2. Language Selection: The base unit features a language switch (EN/CN). Select 'EN' for English or 'CN' for Chinese. Please wait for 2 seconds after changing the language before proceeding with other functions.
  3. Talking Planet Function: Once powered on and the language is selected, gently touch the icon of any planet on the base. The model will speak the name of the planet and provide interesting facts.
  4. Projection Function:
    • With a projector reel disc inserted, turn off room lights for best visibility.
    • Rotate the inserted slide disc to cycle through the 8 different images.
    • Adjust the focus of the projected image by rotating the top part of the Sun sphere until the image is clear on your wall or ceiling.
  5. Night Light Function: The projector can also function as a night light, casting a soft glow or projected image to help children fall asleep.
