1. Introduction

This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Craig CD6925 Portable Top-Loading Stereo CD Boombox. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the device and retain it for future reference.

The Craig CD6925 is a versatile audio system featuring a top-loading CD player, AM/FM stereo radio, and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. It is designed for portable use, offering both AC and DC (battery) power options.

2. Important Safety Information

• Power Source: Operate the unit only from the power sources indicated on the marking label.
• Ventilation: Do not block any ventilation openings. Ensure adequate space around the unit for proper airflow.
• Water and Moisture: Do not expose the unit to rain, moisture, or dripping/splashing liquids. Do not place objects filled with liquids, such as vases, on the unit.
• Heat: Keep the unit away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

5. Controls and Indicators

Familiarize yourself with the controls and indicators on your boombox:

• POWER Button: Turns the unit ON or OFF.
• MODE Button: Switches between CD, FM, AM, and Bluetooth modes.
• PLAY/PAUSE Button (►/❚❚): Starts or pauses CD playback. In Bluetooth mode, plays or pauses audio.
• STOP Button (■): Stops CD playback.
• SKIP/SEARCH Buttons (◀◀ / ►►):
  • Press briefly to skip to the previous/next track on a CD or Bluetooth device.
  • Press and hold to search backward/forward within a track on a CD.
  • In Radio mode, press briefly to tune to the previous/next station.
• PROGRAM (PROG) Button: Used to program CD tracks for playback.
• REPEAT (RPT) Button: Repeats the current track or all tracks on a CD.
• LED Display: Shows CD track number, radio frequency, and mode indicators.
• VOLUME Control Knob: Adjusts the audio output level.

6. Setup

6.1 Powering the Unit

Your boombox can be powered by either AC power or batteries.

AC Power Operation:

1. Ensure the unit is turned OFF.
2. Connect the supplied AC power cord to the AC IN jack on the back of the unit.
3. Plug the other end of the AC power cord into a standard AC wall outlet (120V ~ 60Hz).

DC (Battery) Power Operation:

1. Ensure the unit is turned OFF and disconnected from AC power.
2. Open the battery compartment cover located on the bottom of the unit.
3. Insert 6 x "C" size batteries (not included) into the compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside.
4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: When the AC power cord is connected, the unit will automatically switch to AC power, and the batteries will not be used.

7. Operating Instructions

7.1 General Operation

• Press the POWER button to turn the unit ON.
• Press the MODE button repeatedly to select the desired function: CD, FM, AM, or Bluetooth.
• Adjust the VOLUME control knob to your preferred listening level.

7.2 CD Player Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select CD mode. The LED display will show "CD".
2. Open the CD compartment door by gently lifting it.
3. Place a CD (or CD-R/CD-RW) with the label side facing up onto the spindle.
4. Close the CD compartment door securely.
5. The CD will begin playing automatically. If not, press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
6. To pause playback, press PLAY/PAUSE. Press again to resume.
7. To stop playback, press the STOP button.
8. To skip tracks, press SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►) briefly.
9. To search within a track, press and hold SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►).

Programming CD Tracks:

1. In CD stop mode, press the PROGRAM (PROG) button. The LED display will show "01".
2. Use the SKIP/SEARCH (◀◀ / ►►) buttons to select the desired track.
3. Press PROGRAM (PROG) again to confirm the track. The display will show "02".
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to program up to 20 tracks.
5. After programming, press the PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback of the programmed sequence.
6. To clear the program, press the STOP button twice.

Repeat Playback:

• During CD playback, press the REPEAT (RPT) button once to repeat the current track (indicated by "REP1" on display).
• Press REPEAT (RPT) again to repeat all tracks on the CD (indicated by "REP ALL" on display).
• Press REPEAT (RPT) a third time to cancel the repeat function.

7.3 AM/FM Radio Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select FM or AM radio mode. The LED display will show the frequency.
2. Extend the FM telescopic antenna for better FM reception. For AM, the antenna is internal.
3. Rotate the TUNING control knob to manually tune to your desired radio station.
4. Adjust the VOLUME control knob to your preferred listening level.

7.4 Bluetooth Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select Bluetooth mode. The LED display will show "BT" and flash, indicating it's in pairing mode.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your external device (e.g., smartphone, tablet) and search for available devices.
3. Select "CD6925" from the list of found devices.
4. Once paired, the "BT" indicator on the LED display will stop flashing and remain solid.
5. You can now play audio from your Bluetooth device through the boombox. Use your device's controls or the boombox's PLAY/PAUSE and SKIP/SEARCH buttons to control playback.

7.5 Auxiliary Input Operation

1. Press the MODE button to select AUX mode (if available as a distinct mode, otherwise ensure no other media is playing).
2. Connect one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack on the boombox.
3. Connect the other end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the headphone jack or line-out jack of your external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone).
4. Play audio from your external device. The sound will be output through the boombox speakers.
5. Adjust the volume using the boombox's VOLUME control knob and/or your external device's volume control.

8. Maintenance and Care

• Cleaning the Unit: Disconnect the power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior of the unit. Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents.
• Cleaning the CD Lens: If the CD player experiences reading errors, the lens may need cleaning. Use a commercially available CD lens cleaner disc.
• CD Care: Handle CDs by their edges. Keep them clean and free from scratches. Store CDs in their cases when not in use.
• Storage: If the unit will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries and store the unit in a cool, dry place.
