2. Safety Information

5. Setup and Installation
The Cornat Tarox Plus toilet seat features a convenient top-mounting system, suitable for most standard wall-mounted and freestanding toilets.
Installation Steps:
- Prepare the Toilet: Ensure the toilet bowl is clean and dry. Remove any old toilet seat and hardware.
- Insert Mounting Bolts: Place the rubber expansion bolts (part of the mounting accessories) into the mounting holes on the toilet bowl.
- Position Hinges: Place the hinge bases over the expansion bolts. Adjust their position to align with the mounting points on the toilet seat.
- Secure Hinges: Insert the screws through the hinge bases and into the expansion bolts. Tighten the screws from above using a screwdriver until the hinges are firmly secured. Do not overtighten.
- Attach Toilet Seat: Align the toilet seat's attachment points with the hinge pins. Press down firmly until the seat clicks into place. Ensure it is securely fastened.

6. Operating Instructions
Soft-Close Function:
To engage the soft-close function, simply push the toilet seat and/or lid downwards gently. The integrated mechanism will automatically lower them slowly and quietly until they rest on the toilet bowl. Do not force the seat or lid down, as this can damage the soft-close mechanism.

Quick Up & Clean Function:
For thorough cleaning of the toilet bowl and seat, the Quick Up & Clean function allows for easy removal of the entire seat. Locate the release buttons (usually near the hinges) and press them simultaneously. Gently lift the toilet seat straight up from the hinges. To reattach, align the seat with the hinge pins and press down until it clicks securely into place.
7. Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning will maintain the hygiene and appearance of your toilet seat.
- Daily Cleaning: Use a soft cloth with mild soap and water. Wipe the entire surface of the seat and lid.
