3. Setup

3.2 Mounting the Device

1. Choose a suitable location on your dashboard or windshield that does not obstruct your view or interfere with vehicle controls.
2. Clean the mounting surface thoroughly to ensure optimal adhesion.
3. Attach the suction cup mount to the chosen surface. For dashboard mounting, use the provided protective dashboard sticker for enhanced stability.
4. Secure the INTELLIDASH unit to the mount. Adjust the viewing angle as needed.

3.3 Power Connection

1. Connect the DC-12V car charger to the charging port on the INTELLIDASH unit.
2. Plug the other end of the car charger into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket.
3. The unit will power on automatically or can be turned on using the power button.

3.4 Audio Output Connection

You can output audio from the INTELLIDASH to your car's speakers via two methods:

• FM Transmitter: Select an unused FM frequency on the INTELLIDASH and tune your car's radio to the same frequency.
• AUX Output: Connect an AUX cable from the INTELLIDASH's AUX port to your car's AUX input.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

Connect your smartphone to the INTELLIDASH via a USB cable to activate Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. This allows access to navigation, music, messages, and calls directly on the 7-inch display.

• Navigation: Use your preferred navigation apps (e.g., Apple Maps, Google Maps, Waze) for turn-by-turn directions.
• Music & Podcasts: Stream audio from your smartphone's music and podcast applications.
• Calls & Messages: Make and receive hands-free calls and manage text messages safely.

4.2 Bluetooth Connectivity

The INTELLIDASH supports Bluetooth 4.0 for wireless connection to your devices. This can be used for audio streaming or hands-free calling when CarPlay/Android Auto is not active.

1. Navigate to the Bluetooth menu on the INTELLIDASH.
2. Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for available devices.
3. Select "INTELLIDASH" from the list and pair the devices.

4.3 FM Transmitter

To stream audio from the INTELLIDASH through your vehicle's speakers wirelessly:

1. Access the FM Transmitter function on the INTELLIDASH.
2. Select an FM frequency that is not currently in use by a radio station in your area.
3. Tune your car's FM radio to the exact same frequency.
4. Audio from the INTELLIDASH will now play through your car's speakers.

4.4 Voice Control

Utilize your device's voice assistant (Siri or Google Assistant) for hands-free control of the INTELLIDASH. This allows for safe operation while driving, including making calls, sending messages, and controlling music.

4.5 SiriusXM

The INTELLIDASH features built-in support for SiriusXM satellite radio. A separate SiriusXM subscription is required to access its programming.

4.6 Smartphone Charging

The USB port on the INTELLIDASH provides 2A charging power for your smartphone, ensuring your device stays charged during use.
