2. Important Safety Information

5. Setup

- Fill Water Tank: Remove the water tank, fill it with fresh, cold drinking water up to the MAX level indicator, and place it back securely.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet.
- First Use Cycle (Priming):
- Ensure the water tank is filled.
- Place a large cup under the coffee dispenser.
- Press either brew button. The machine will start pumping water to prime the system. This may take a moment.
- Allow the machine to dispense water until the tank is nearly empty. Repeat if necessary until water flows smoothly.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Brewing Espresso or Drip Coffee
- Power On: Ensure the machine is plugged in and the power indicator light is on. If not, press the power button.
- Fill Water Tank: Check that the water tank is filled with fresh, cold water.
- Insert Capsule: Open the capsule insertion slot, insert one illy iperEspresso capsule, and close the slot firmly.
- Place Cup: Position your cup on the adjustable cup holder under the coffee dispenser. Adjust the holder height if needed.
- Select Beverage: Press the desired brew button:
- One button for espresso (smaller cup icon).
- The other button for drip coffee (larger cup icon).
- Remove Capsule: After brewing, open the capsule insertion slot. The used capsule will automatically drop into the used capsule container. Close the slot.

6.2 Programming Beverage Volume
The illy Y3.3 allows you to customize the volume of your espresso and drip coffee.
- Prepare for Brewing: Follow steps 1-4 from "6.1 Brewing Espresso or Drip Coffee".
- Start Programming: Press and hold the brew button you wish to program (espresso or drip coffee).
- Dispense Coffee: The machine will start dispensing coffee. Continue holding the button until your desired volume is reached in the cup.
- Save Setting: Release the button. The machine will save this new volume setting for that specific button.
