4. Setup

4.1 Initial Charge

Before first use, fully charge your JBL Clip 4. Connect the included Type-C to Type-A charging cable to the speaker's USB-C port and a power source. The charging indicator light will show charging status.

4.2 Power On/Off

  • To power on, press the Power button.
  • To power off, press and hold the Power button until the speaker turns off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Turn on the JBL Clip 4.
  2. Press the Bluetooth button on the speaker. The LED indicator will flash blue, indicating it's in pairing mode.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet), enable Bluetooth and select "JBL Clip 4" from the list of available devices.
  4. Once connected, the LED indicator will turn solid blue.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Button Functions

  • Play/Pause: Press the Play button (triangle icon) once to play or pause music.
  • Volume Up: Press the '+' button to increase volume.
  • Volume Down: Press the '-' button to decrease volume.
  • Skip Track Forward: Double-press the Play button to skip to the next track.
  • Answer/End Call: Press the Play button once to answer or end a call.

6. Waterproof and Dustproof (IP67)

The JBL Clip 4 is IP67 rated, meaning it is fully waterproof and dustproof. This allows for worry-free use in various environments, including by the pool, at the beach, or during outdoor activities. It can be immersed in water up to 1 meter (3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes.

Important: Ensure the USB-C port cover is securely closed before exposing the speaker to water or dust.
