Introduction
The HTZSAFE 1/2 Mile Long Range Wireless Driveway Alarm System is an outdoor weather-resistant motion sensor and detector designed for home and office security. It monitors and protects outdoor and indoor property, such as driveways, front porches, gates, pools, garages, and sheds. The system features a 1/2 mile wireless transmission range and a 50-foot motion detection range with adjustable sensitivity. It is a plug-and-play system, expandable up to 32 sensors and unlimited receivers, offering 35 optional melodies and 4 volume levels.
Setup
1. Unpacking and Components
Your HTZSAFE Wireless Driveway Alarm System includes one plug-in receiver and multiple motion sensors (depending on your package). Also included are mounting accessories and a user manual.

2. Receiver Installation
The receiver is a plug-in unit. Simply plug it into a standard electrical outlet indoors. Upon plugging in, you should hear a small beep, indicating it is activated and ready.

3. Motion Sensor Battery Installation
Each motion sensor requires 3 AA 1.5V Alkaline batteries (not included in the package). Open the battery compartment on the back of the sensor and insert the batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
4. Motion Sensor Mounting
The motion sensors are weather-resistant and designed for outdoor use. They can be mounted on walls, fence posts, trees, or any other stable surface using the provided ball-joint mounting plate and screws. The ball-joint allows for flexible adjustment of the sensor's direction.
- Ensure the mounting surface is stable and does not sway in the wind to prevent false alarms.
- Position the sensor to detect motion in the desired area, typically facing downwards at a 15-degree angle to cover the ground effectively.

5. Sensitivity Adjustment
The motion sensor has two adjustable sensitivity settings:
- Low: Detects motion up to 35 feet.
- High: Detects motion up to 50 feet.
Adjust the sensitivity based on your specific needs and environment to minimize false alarms from small animals or environmental factors.
6. Pairing and Melody Selection
The units are typically pre-programmed before shipping. However, you can customize melodies and pair additional sensors.
- The receiver offers 35 optional melodies and 4 volume levels.
- You can match different melodies to different sensors to distinguish where motion is detected (e.g., one sound for the driveway, another for the backyard).
- Refer to the detailed user manual for specific instructions on pairing new sensors and changing melodies.

Operating Instructions
1. Motion Detection
The wireless motion sensor detects heat movements from people, large animals, or vehicles within its detection range (35-50 feet). When motion is detected, the sensor sends a wireless signal to the receiver.

2. Receiver Alert
Upon receiving a signal from a sensor, the plug-in receiver will sound the pre-selected melody and its eyes will light up, alerting you to activity. The wireless transmission range is up to 1/2 mile, though actual range may vary based on terrain and obstacles.

3. System Expansion
The system is fully expandable. You can add up to 32 sensors and an unlimited number of receivers to cover your entire property. This allows for comprehensive monitoring and customized alert zones.
Maintenance
1. Battery Replacement
The motion sensors are battery-powered. Replace the 3 AA 1.5V Alkaline batteries when the sensor's performance diminishes or the low battery indicator (if available) activates. Ensure proper battery orientation.
2. Cleaning
Wipe the exterior of the sensors and receiver with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Ensure the sensor lenses are clear of dirt, dust, or spiderwebs for optimal performance.
3. Weather Resistance
The outdoor sensors are designed to be weather-resistant and operate in temperatures ranging from -30 to 150 degrees Fahrenheit. While resistant to weather, they are not fully waterproof. Ensure proper installation to protect against direct heavy water exposure.
Troubleshooting
1. No Detection or False Alarms
- Check Battery: Ensure the sensor batteries are fresh and correctly installed.
- Adjust Sensitivity: Lower the sensitivity setting if experiencing frequent false alarms from small animals or environmental factors. Increase sensitivity if motion is not being detected.
- Sensor Placement: Verify the sensor is aimed correctly at the detection area and is not obstructed. Ensure it is mounted on a stable surface.
- Obstructions: Clear any foliage, branches, or other objects that might be blocking the sensor's view or swaying in the wind.
2. Poor Wireless Range
- Line of Sight: Ensure there are minimal obstructions (thick walls, large metal objects, dense foliage) between the sensor and the receiver.
- Interference: The system uses FSK+FHSS technology to minimize interference, but strong radio signals from other devices might still affect performance. Try relocating the receiver or sensor.
- Terrain: Actual range can vary significantly based on local terrain. Test the range in your specific environment.
3. Receiver Not Alerting
- Power: Ensure the receiver is properly plugged into a working electrical outlet.
- Volume: Check the volume setting on the receiver.
- Pairing: Re-pair the sensor with the receiver if it seems to have lost connection. Refer to the user manual for pairing instructions.
