Setup and Initial Assembly
Your SHELL Ride scooter comes partially assembled. Follow these steps to complete the setup:
- Unfold the Scooter: Carefully lift the handlebar stem until it locks into the upright position. Ensure the folding mechanism is securely latched.
- Attach Handlebars: Insert the handlebar assembly onto the stem. Align the holes and secure it with the provided screws (typically 4 screws). Tighten them firmly using the included tool.

Ride Modes
The scooter offers three ride modes to suit different preferences and conditions:
- Low Mode: For beginners or crowded areas, offering a gentler acceleration and lower top speed.
- ECO Mode: Balances speed and battery efficiency for extended range.
- Sport Mode: Provides maximum speed and acceleration for experienced riders.
To switch between modes, short press the power button while the scooter is on.
Braking System
The SHELL Ride scooter features a dual braking system for enhanced safety:
- Rear Disc Brake: Operated by the left brake lever. Provides strong mechanical stopping power.
- Front Electric Brake: Operated by the right brake lever. Offers smooth and controlled deceleration.
Always apply both brakes simultaneously for optimal stopping performance, especially at higher speeds or in emergency situations. The rear brake light activates when brakes are applied.

Folding and Unfolding
The scooter's foldable design allows for easy storage and transport.
- To Fold: Ensure the scooter is powered off. Locate the folding latch mechanism at the base of the handlebar stem. Push the stem slightly forward while simultaneously disengaging the latch. Gently lower the handlebar stem until it clicks into the folded position, securing it to the rear fender.
- To Unfold: Release the latch securing the handlebar stem to the rear fender. Lift the handlebar stem upwards until it locks securely into the upright riding position. Ensure the locking mechanism is fully engaged before riding.

Maintenance
- Tires: The scooter is equipped with 8.5-inch semi-pneumatic "no flat" tires, which are maintenance-free and do not require inflation. Regularly inspect them for wear or damage.
- Battery Care: To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently. Charge the scooter regularly, even if not in use for extended periods (at least once every 30 days). Store the scooter in a cool, dry place.
- Cleaning: Wipe the scooter with a damp cloth. Do not use high-pressure water jets or immerse the scooter in water.
- Brakes: Periodically check the responsiveness of both the disc brake and electric brake. If you notice any degradation in braking performance, have the scooter inspected by a qualified technician.
- General Inspection: Before each ride, check all screws, bolts, and quick-release mechanisms to ensure they are tight and secure.
Troubleshooting
