5. Setup
5.1 Powering On
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC 5V input on the back of the radio.
- Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
- Press the VOLUME/SELECT knob to turn on the radio.
- If using battery power, ensure the rechargeable battery is installed and charged.
5.2 Initial Setup (Internet Radio)
Upon first power-on, the radio may guide you through an initial setup wizard:
- Language Selection: Use the VOLUME/SELECT knob to choose your preferred language and press to confirm.
- Network Connection: For Internet Radio functionality, the device requires a Wi-Fi connection.
- Select "Wi-Fi Network" from the menu.
- The radio will scan for available networks. Select your network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password using the rotary knob to navigate characters and press to select.
- Once connected, the radio will confirm the connection.
- Time and Date: The time and date will usually synchronize automatically via the internet or DAB+ signal. You can manually set it if needed in the system settings.
5.3 Antenna Adjustment
For optimal reception of FM and DAB+ broadcasts, fully extend the telescopic antenna on the back of the unit. Adjust its position for the best signal quality.

6.1 Switching Modes (SOURCE Button)
Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes:
- Internet Radio: Access thousands of online radio stations from around the world.
- DAB+ Radio: Digital Audio Broadcasting Plus for high-quality digital radio.
- FM Radio: Traditional analog FM radio.
- Bluetooth: Connect and stream audio wirelessly from your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
6.2 DAB+ Radio Operation
- Select DAB+ mode using the SOURCE button.
- The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations.
- Use the VOLUME/SELECT knob to scroll through the list of stations. Press the knob to select a station.
- Press INFO to view station information (e.g., DLS text, program type).
6.3 FM Radio Operation
- Select FM mode using the SOURCE button.
- Rotate the VOLUME/SELECT knob to manually tune to a frequency.
- Press and hold the VOLUME/SELECT knob to auto-scan for the next available station.
6.4 Internet Radio Operation
- Select Internet Radio mode using the SOURCE button.

6.5 Bluetooth Operation
- Select Bluetooth mode using the SOURCE button. The radio will enter pairing mode.
- On your Bluetooth-enabled device (smartphone, tablet), go to Bluetooth settings and search for "Pinell SuperSound 101".
- Select the radio to pair. Once connected, you can stream audio from your device to the radio.

To save a station as a preset:

- Press and hold one of the numbered preset buttons (1, 2, or 3+) until the display confirms the station is saved.
To recall a preset:
