3. Product Features

  • Multiple Flight Modes: The remote features a switch to select between three distinct flight modes:
    • Cine Mode: Designed for smooth, cinematic footage with reduced control sensitivity.

  • USB-C Charging Port: The remote controller features a USB-C port on the bottom for convenient charging.

4. Setup Guide

  1. Attach Control Sticks: Locate the two control sticks stored in the slots on the bottom of the remote controller. Twist them clockwise into the threaded holes on the top of the remote until secure.
  2. Charge the Remote Controller: Connect the remote controller to a power source using a USB-C cable (not included) via the charging port on the bottom. The LED indicators will show charging status. Ensure the remote is fully charged before first use.
  3. Mount Your Smartphone: Slide out the integrated phone holder from the top of the remote controller. Carefully place your smartphone into the holder, ensuring it is securely gripped.
  4. Connect to Smartphone: Use an appropriate RC cable (not included) to connect your smartphone to the remote controller's USB port.
  5. Power On: Press and hold the power button (located on the right side of the remote's face) until the remote powers on.
  6. Pair with Drone: Follow the specific pairing instructions for your DJI drone model to establish a connection between the remote controller and your drone. Refer to your drone's user manual for detailed pairing procedures.
  7. Install DJI Fly App: Download and install the DJI Fly app on your smartphone. This app is essential for viewing the drone's camera feed, accessing flight settings, and managing media.

5. Operating Instructions

Once your remote controller is set up and paired with your drone, you can begin operation:

  • Controlling the Drone: Use the left and right control sticks to maneuver the drone. The left stick typically controls altitude and yaw (rotation), while the right stick controls forward/backward and left/right movement.
  • Changing Flight Modes: Use the three-position switch (Cine, Normal, Sport) to select your desired flight mode based on your flying environment and desired footage.
  • Activating Hover Mode: Double-press the hover mode button (marked with an 'H' and two vertical lines) to make the drone automatically maintain its current position and altitude.
  • Capturing Photos/Videos:
    • Press the camera button to take a still photo.
    • Press the record button to start/stop video recording.
    • Use the horizontal/vertical photo mode switch button to change the camera's orientation for capturing content.
  • Powering Off: Press and hold the power button until the remote controller powers off.

6. Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your remote controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:

  • Storage: Store the remote controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Detach the control sticks and store them in their designated slots to prevent damage.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the surface of the remote controller. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Care: Fully charge the remote controller at least once every three months to maintain battery health, even if not in regular use.
