BELTTT 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter User Manual

Model: 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter

Introduction

Thank you for choosing the BELTTT 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter. This device converts 12V DC power from your vehicle battery or other 12V DC source into 110V AC household power, allowing you to operate various electronic devices. With a continuous output of 500W and a peak power of 1000W, it provides reliable and clean power for sensitive electronics. Please read this manual thoroughly before use to ensure safe and optimal operation.

Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the inverter and connected devices.

  • Do not open the inverter casing. There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
  • Keep the inverter away from water, moisture, and flammable materials.
  • Ensure adequate ventilation around the inverter to prevent overheating.
  • Connect the inverter only to a 12V DC power source. Connecting to a 24V or higher DC source will damage the unit.
  • Do not exceed the rated continuous power output of 500W. The peak power is 1000W for short durations.
  • Always connect the inverter to the battery terminals correctly (positive to positive, negative to negative). Reverse polarity will cause damage.
  • Disconnect the inverter from the power source when not in use.

  • DC Negative Terminal (Black): Connects to the negative terminal of the 12V battery.
  • Intelligent Cooling Fan: Automatically activates to dissipate heat and maintain optimal operating temperature.

Setup and Connection

The inverter offers two connection methods depending on your power needs.

Diagram showing two ways to connect the power inverter: via cigarette lighter plug and via alligator clips to a battery

Image: This diagram illustrates the two primary connection methods for the inverter: directly to a 12V battery using alligator clips for higher power applications, and via a cigarette lighter plug for lower power devices.

Method 1: Cigarette Lighter Plug (Max 150W)

  1. Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Insert the cigarette lighter plug firmly into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.
  3. Turn on your vehicle's engine to ensure stable power supply.
  4. Connect your device (under 150W) to the AC outlet or USB port on the inverter.
  5. Flip the inverter's power switch to the ON position. The indicative light should illuminate.

Note: The cigarette lighter connection is suitable for devices consuming less than 150 Watts. Exceeding this limit may blow your vehicle's fuse or damage the inverter.

Method 2: Alligator Battery Clamps (Max 500W)

  1. Ensure the inverter's power switch is in the OFF position.
  2. Connect the red alligator clamp to the positive (+) terminal of your 12V battery.
  3. Connect the black alligator clamp to the negative (-) terminal of your 12V battery.
  4. Ensure connections are secure and tight to prevent arcing.
  5. Connect your device (under 500W) to the AC outlet or USB port on the inverter.
  6. Flip the inverter's power switch to the ON position. The indicative light should illuminate.

Warning: Always connect the clamps to the battery first, then turn on the inverter. When disconnecting, turn off the inverter first, then disconnect the clamps from the battery.

Operating Instructions

Once properly connected, the inverter is ready for use.

BELTTT 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter showing compatibility with various devices

Image: The BELTTT 500W Pure Sine Wave Power Inverter is compatible with a wide range of electronic devices, including smartphones, laptops, cameras, drones, breast pumps, and small fans, provided their wattage is under 500W (or 150W if using the cigarette lighter).

  • Powering Devices: Plug your AC-powered devices into the 110V AC outlet. For USB devices, use the USB charging port.
  • Monitoring: Observe the indicative light for operational status. If it indicates a fault, refer to the Troubleshooting section.
  • Cooling Fan: The intelligent cooling fan will automatically turn on when the inverter detects a certain temperature or load to prevent overheating. This is normal operation.
  • Power Consumption: Always check the wattage requirements of your devices. The total continuous power draw should not exceed 500W. Devices with high starting currents (e.g., motors, compressors) may briefly exceed the 1000W peak, causing the inverter to shut down.
  • Battery Drain: Using the inverter will drain your 12V battery. For vehicle batteries, it is recommended to run the vehicle's engine periodically to recharge the battery, especially when powering high-wattage devices.

Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and reliable performance of your inverter.

  • Cleaning: Keep the inverter clean and free from dust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe the exterior. Do not use liquid cleaners.
  • Ventilation: Ensure the cooling fan vents are not obstructed. Blocked vents can lead to overheating and reduced performance.
  • Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the inverter in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Connections: Periodically check all electrical connections (battery clamps, cigarette lighter plug) for tightness and corrosion. Loose connections can cause power loss or overheating.
