3. Product Overview
The Reflexion PCD-400 is a compact and lightweight portable CD player designed for personal audio enjoyment. It features an LCD display for track information and various control buttons for playback management.

4. Setup
4.1 Power Supply
The PCD-400 can be powered by batteries or an external AC adapter (not included).
4.1.1 Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the CD player.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert two (2) UM-3 "AA" size batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
Note: Always use fresh batteries and remove them if the device will not be used for an extended period.
4.1.2 AC Adapter Connection
For continuous power, you can use an optional DC 3V AC adapter (not included).
- Connect the DC plug of the AC adapter to the DC 3V input jack on the side of the CD player.
- Plug the AC adapter into a standard wall outlet.
Caution: Use only a compatible DC 3V AC adapter to avoid damage to the unit.
4.2 Connecting Earphones
Connect the included earphones (or your preferred headphones) to the 3.5mm headphone jack on the side of the CD player.
Note: Ensure the plug is fully inserted for proper audio output.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Inserting a CD
- Gently press the OPEN button or slide the latch to open the CD compartment lid.
- Place a CD (CD, CD-R, or CD-RW) onto the center spindle with the label side facing up.
- Gently press the CD down until it clicks into place.
- Close the CD compartment lid firmly until it latches.

Important: Do not touch the lens inside the CD compartment. Refer to the maintenance section for cleaning instructions.
5.2 Basic Playback Controls
- PLAY/PAUSE (►/❚❚): Press once to start playback. Press again to pause. Press again to resume.
- STOP (■): Press to stop playback.
- SKIP FORWARD (►►): Press once to skip to the next track. Press and hold to fast forward within a track.
- SKIP BACKWARD (◄◄): Press once to skip to the beginning of the current track. Press twice to skip to the previous track. Press and hold to fast rewind within a track.
- VOLUME: Use the volume control dial (usually on the side) to adjust the audio output level.
- LCD Display: Shows track number, playback status, and other relevant information.
6. Maintenance
6.1 Cleaning the Unit
- Wipe the exterior of the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- To clean the CD lens, use a specialized CD lens cleaning kit. Do not touch the lens directly with your fingers or any other objects.

6.2 CD Care
- Handle CDs by their edges to avoid fingerprints and scratches.
- Store CDs in their cases when not in use.
- Clean dirty CDs with a soft, lint-free cloth, wiping from the center outwards.
