The Amazon Basics 6-Button Ergonomic 2.4GHz Wireless Mouse is designed for comfortable and precise navigation. Setup Guide
- Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse. Insert the two included AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-). Close the battery compartment.

- Connect USB Nano Receiver: Locate an available USB port on your computer (Windows or Mac OS). Insert the USB Nano receiver into the USB port. The system should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers.
- Power On: Slide the On/Off switch located on the underside of the mouse to the "On" position. The mouse is now ready for use.

Button Functions
- Left Click: Standard selection and activation.
- Right Click: Opens context menus.
- Middle Click (Scroll Wheel): Activates auto-scroll or opens links in new tabs, depending on application.
- Forward Button (Left Side): Navigates forward in web browsers or file explorers.
- Backward Button (Left Side): Navigates backward in web browsers or file explorers.
- DPI Switch Button: Adjusts mouse sensitivity.
DPI Adjustment
The mouse offers 3 adjustable sensitivity levels: 800, 1200, or 1600 DPI (Dots Per Inch). Press the DPI switch button, located behind the scroll wheel, to cycle through these settings. A higher DPI setting results in faster cursor movement across the screen for the same physical mouse movement.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the mouse. For the optical sensor, use a cotton swab lightly dampened with rubbing alcohol, ensuring no liquid enters the mouse.
- Battery Replacement: When the mouse performance degrades or it becomes unresponsive, replace the AAA batteries. The approximate battery life is 3.3 months with average daily use (2 hours/day, 20 working days/month).
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, slide the On/Off switch to the "Off" position to conserve battery life.
