The fuse plug is a safety feature that prevents unintentional starting of the hedge trimmer.

5.2. Cutting Technique

The double-sided cutting knife is ideal for trimming branches and shaping hedges.

  • General Trimming: Move the hedge trimmer smoothly along the hedge, allowing the blades to cut through the branches. Avoid forcing the tool.
  • Shaping: For precise shaping, use a sweeping motion, cutting small amounts at a time.
  • Branch Size: The tool is designed for trimming branches up to its tooth pitch. Do not attempt to cut branches thicker than specified.

  • Lubrication: Apply a light machine oil or blade lubricant to the cutting blades regularly to reduce friction and prevent rust.
  • Sharpening: If the blades become dull, they can be sharpened by a qualified service technician. Do not attempt to sharpen them yourself unless you have the proper tools and expertise.

6.2. Battery Care and Storage

  • Charging: Charge the battery fully before storing for extended periods.
  • Storage: Store the hedge trimmer and its charging cable in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the cut protection is on the blade.
  • Long-term Storage: For long-term storage, it is recommended to store the battery with a partial charge (around 50%) to prolong its lifespan.
