Setup Instructions
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove the filter jug and cartridge from their packaging.
- Wash the Jug: Wash the jug, funnel, and lid with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. The jug (excluding the lid) is dishwasher safe.
- Prepare the Filter Cartridge: Remove the A5 Mg filter cartridge from its protective wrapping. Immerse the new filter cartridge in water for approximately 5-10 minutes to remove any air bubbles.
- Insert the Filter: Firmly insert the prepared filter cartridge into the funnel opening until it is securely seated.
- Initial Filtration (Conditioning): For first-time use, fill the jug with tap water and allow it to filter through. Discard the first two to three filtered batches of water. This conditions the filter and removes any loose carbon particles. The water should become transparent after this process.

Operating Instructions
- Filling the Jug: Open the flip-top lid and fill the funnel with cold tap water. The water will slowly filter into the main jug reservoir.
- Pouring Filtered Water: Once the water has completely filtered into the lower chamber, you can pour it for consumption. Avoid pouring while water is still in the upper funnel to prevent unfiltered water from mixing.
- Filter Life Counter: The lid features a battery-free mechanical filter life counter. Press the button on the lid each time you refill the jug to track filter usage. Replace the filter when the indicator suggests it, or after approximately 350 liters.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Jug: Regularly wash the jug, funnel, and lid. The jug and funnel are dishwasher safe (top rack recommended). The lid should be hand-washed to protect the mechanical counter.
- Filter Replacement: Replace the A5 Mg filter cartridge after filtering approximately 350 liters of water or when the filter life indicator suggests. The manufacturing date on the filter is not an expiry date; the shelf-life is 5 years in original packaging.
- Storage: If the jug will not be used for an extended period, remove the filter, dry it, and store it in a sealed bag in the refrigerator. Wash the jug thoroughly before storing.
