Setup and Installation

Professional installation is recommended for this shower system. Ensure all local plumbing codes are followed. The connectors are standard 1/2 NPT tapered threads.

Pre-Installation Checks:

  1. Verify all components are present and undamaged.
  2. Turn off the main water supply before starting any work.
  3. Ensure adequate wall support for the shower arm and control valve.

Installation Steps:

  1. Install the Pressure Balance Valve: Mount the brass pressure balance valve body securely within the wall, ensuring the fixed position hole and hot/cold water connectors (NPT 1/2") are correctly oriented. The total embedded depth is 3.15 inches (80mm).

Operating Instructions

Your BWE shower system offers two functions: the rain shower head and the handheld shower, with precise control over water temperature and flow.

Function Selection and Temperature Control:

  1. Turn On/Off and Adjust Flow: Use the bottom handle to turn the water on and off, and to adjust the water flow intensity.
  2. Select Shower Function: Use the top square knob to switch between the rain shower head and the handheld shower.
  3. Adjust Temperature: Rotate the main lever to control the water temperature. Moving the handle towards 'H' (Hot) increases hot water, and towards 'C' (Cold) increases cold water. The pressure balance valve maintains consistent water temperature, preventing sudden changes due to pressure fluctuations.

Air Pressure Technology:

The rain shower head incorporates air pressure technology, injecting air into the water stream. This mixes water with air, increasing water pressure up to 2.5 GPM and simulating a natural rainfall experience. This technology also makes the shower head easy to clean and maintain.

Handheld Shower Head:

The high-pressure handheld shower head provides a more powerful water flow, enhancing cleaning strength and ensuring stable water discharge. It is ideal for targeted rinsing and cleaning the shower area.

Maintenance

Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and appearance of your BWE shower system.

Cleaning the Finish:

The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish is designed to resist corrosion. Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or scouring pads, as these can damage the finish. For stubborn spots, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.

Cleaning Silicone Nozzles:

The rain shower head features silicone nozzles that are easy to clean. Simply rub your finger across the nozzles to dislodge any mineral buildup or debris. This helps maintain optimal spray performance.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your shower system, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
