4. Installation

4.1 Mounting the Keypad

Key Wiring Connections:
- Power Supply: Connect the Red wire to +12V and the Black wire to GND from your DC 12-24V power source.
- Electric Lock:
- For Normally Open (NO) locks: Connect the Blue wire (NO) and Purple wire (COM) to the lock.
- For Normally Closed (NC) locks: Connect the Orange wire (NC) and Purple wire (COM) to the lock.

5. Basic Operation
The BSTUOKEY K8EM supports multiple methods for unlocking the door.

5.1 Unlocking with Password
- Enter your 4-6 digit user PIN code.
- Press the # key.
- The door will unlock for the set relay time.
5.2 Unlocking with RFID Card
- Present your registered 125Khz RFID card to the keypad's reader area.
- The door will unlock for the set relay time.
5.3 Unlocking with Card + PIN
- Present your registered 125Khz RFID card to the keypad's reader area.
- Within 5 seconds, enter your 4-6 digit user PIN code.
- Press the # key.
- The door will unlock for the set relay time.
5.4 Using the Exit Button
If an exit button is connected, simply press the button to momentarily unlock the door from the inside.
5.5 Doorbell Function
Press the bell icon key on the keypad to activate the connected doorbell.

6. Programming Instructions
All programming operations are performed in programming mode. The default Master PIN is 123456.
6.1 Enter/Exit Programming Mode
- To Enter: Press # + Master PIN (default 123456) + #. The indicator light will turn green.
- To Exit: Press #. The indicator light will turn red.
6.2 Change Master PIN
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 0.
- Enter new 6-digit Master PIN.
- Enter new 6-digit Master PIN again to confirm.
- Exit Programming Mode.
6.3 Add User Cards/PINs
The keypad supports 2000 users. Each user is assigned a User ID (1-2000).
Method 1: Add Single Card
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 1.
- Enter a 3-digit User ID (e.g., 001 for User 1).
- Present the RFID card to be added to the keypad.
- The keypad will beep to confirm.
- To add more cards, repeat steps 3-4.
- Exit Programming Mode.
Method 2: Add Multiple Cards (Sequential)
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 2.
- Present the first RFID card to be added.
- Present subsequent RFID cards one by one.
- When finished, press # to save and exit this mode.
- Exit Programming Mode.
Method 3: Add User PIN
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 1.
- Enter a 3-digit User ID (e.g., 002 for User 2).
- Enter a 4-6 digit user PIN.

- Press 4.
- Present the RFID card to be deleted to the keypad.
- The keypad will beep to confirm deletion.
- To delete more cards, repeat step 3.

6.5 Set Door Relay Time
This sets how long the door remains unlocked after a valid entry (0-99 seconds).
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 5.
- Enter a 2-digit time (e.g., 05 for 5 seconds).
- Press #.
- Exit Programming Mode.
6.6 Set Access Mode
This determines how users can unlock the door.
- Enter Programming Mode.
- Press 6.
- Choose one of the following options:
- 0: Card or PIN (default)
- 1: Card only
- 2: PIN only
- 3: Card + PIN
- Press #.
- Exit Programming Mode.
6.7 Factory Reset
This will delete all user data and restore the Master PIN to 123456. Use with caution.
- Disconnect power from the keypad.
- Press and hold the # key.
- While holding #, reconnect power.
- Release the # key after a few seconds.
- The keypad will beep to confirm the reset.
7. Maintenance
- Clean the keypad surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
