Setup
1. Unboxing
Carefully unpack all items from the box. You should find:
- Doro 780X Mobile Phone
- Charging Station (Cradle)
- Wall Charger with Micro USB Cable
- Battery (Li-ion 1600mAh)

2. Battery Installation and Charging
- Remove the back cover of the phone.
- Insert the Li-ion battery into its compartment, ensuring the gold contacts align.
- Replace the back cover.
- Connect the micro USB cable to the wall charger and then to the charging station.
- Place the Doro 780X phone into the charging station. Ensure it is seated correctly and the charging indicator appears on the screen.
- Allow the phone to charge fully before first use (approximately 2-3 hours).

3. SIM Card Installation
The Doro 780X supports Dual SIM. To install your SIM card(s):
- Ensure the phone is powered off.
- Remove the back cover and battery.
- Locate the SIM card slot(s). Gently slide your SIM card(s) into the slot(s) until they click into place.
- Reinsert the battery and back cover.
4. Initial Power On
Press and hold the power button (usually located on the side or top) until the screen lights up. Follow any on-screen prompts for initial setup, such as language selection.
Operating Instructions
1. Making Calls (Simplified Dialing)
The Doro 780X is designed for simplified calling with three dedicated speed dial buttons (A, B, C).
- Ensure the phone is unlocked.
- Press one of the dedicated contact buttons (A, B, or C) to call the pre-programmed number associated with that button.
- To end a call, press the red 'End Call' button.
Note: The phone does not allow manual dialing of numbers beyond the pre-programmed contacts.
2. Receiving Calls
When an incoming call is received, the phone will ring and/or vibrate, and a visual indicator may flash.
- Press the green 'Answer Call' button to accept the call.
- To reject a call, press the red 'End Call' button.
- The phone can be configured for automatic call answering in hands-free mode. Refer to advanced settings for this option.
3. SMS Messaging
The Doro 780X is configured to receive SMS messages only. You cannot send SMS messages from this device.
- When an SMS is received, a notification will appear on the screen.
- Navigate to the message using the navigation buttons and press 'OK' to read it.
- The sender of the message will receive a notification once you have read the message.
4. Assistance Button (Response by Doro)
The dedicated assistance button is located on the back of the phone.
- In an emergency or if you need assistance, press and hold the assistance button for a few seconds.
- The phone will alert all 'assistants' configured in the Response by Doro application.
- Your location will be sent via SMS to your assistants.
- The phone will automatically initiate a call to the first assistant in speakerphone mode. If unanswered, it will try the next assistant.

5. Sound and Volume
Adjust the call volume during a conversation using the volume buttons on the side of the phone. The Doro 780X features HD Voice technology for clear audio, even in noisy environments.
6. Safety Timer
The safety timer is a feature designed to alert caregivers if a pre-set activity is not completed within a specified time. For example, you can activate it before taking a shower.
- To activate the safety timer, navigate to the timer settings in the phone's menu.
- Set the desired duration.
- If the timer is not manually deactivated before it expires, your pre-configured caregivers will be alerted.
Maintenance
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Doro 780X.
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the phone's surface. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
