2. Safety Instructions
WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in serious injury or damage to the product.
- Always ensure the power switch is in the OFF position before plugging in or unplugging the grinder.
- Always disconnect the grinder from the electrical outlet before setting up, servicing, or changing bits.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Always wear safety goggles to protect your eyes. Everyday eyeglasses are not sufficient.
- Avoid wearing loose-fitting clothing, neckties, jewelry, or gloves that could become entangled in moving parts.
- Never turn on the grinder while glass or other working materials are in contact with the grinding bit.
- Never leave the grinder running unattended. Turn the power OFF when not in use.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not operate the grinder while under the influence of medication or alcohol.
- To ensure optimal performance and safety, keep the grinder properly maintained and lubricated as per instructions.

4. Setup and Assembly
- Unpack and Position: After unpacking all components, assemble the grinder on a firm, level surface to prevent tilting and rocking during operation.
- Install Grinder Bit: Install the diamond grinder bit onto the grinding machine's shaft. Secure the bit by turning the set screw clockwise with the provided hex wrench.
- Fill Water Reservoir: Fill the water reservoir with clean water, ensuring the level does not exceed 200ml. The automatic water system requires the reservoir to be wet for proper operation.
- Connect Power: Ensure the power switch is in the OFF position, then plug the grinder into a 110V electrical outlet.

5. Operating Instructions
Before operating, ensure you have read and understood all safety instructions.
- Initial Use (First-time users): If you are a first-time user, familiarize yourself with the grinder by practicing on a piece of scrap glass. Begin by pushing the glass against the grinding bit with light pressure, moving the glass back and forth across the bit.
- Adjust Pressure: Slowly increase the pressure until you find a comfortable grinding speed and control. You will quickly learn the optimal grinding pressure for different types of glass.
- Monitor Water Level: Periodically check the water level in the reservoir. Grinding without sufficient water significantly reduces the lifespan of your grinding bits. NEVER GRIND DRY.
- Start Grinding: Once ready, turn on the power switch to begin grinding.
- Using 1" Grinder Bit: If using a 1" grinder bit, it is suitable for both drilling holes and intricate grinding. To set it up, install the work surface adaptor, then place the 1" bit directly onto the top of the shaft, ensuring the hex screw aligns with the flat side of the motor shaft.

6. Maintenance
- Clean Water Reservoir: Clean the water reservoir after each use. Remove the reservoir and flush out any grinding residue accumulated around the sides of the base.
- Replenish Water: If the sink becomes dry during operation, add water promptly.
- Bit Storage: Grinder bits should be removed from the machine if they are not in use for a week or more. This prevents them from "cementing" to the shaft due to dried residue.
- Bit Wear: Over time, a grinding bit may become less effective, leading to glass chipping. This indicates wear on the diamond surface. To expose a new portion of the diamond surface, loosen the set screw with the hex wrench and move the grinding bit up on the shaft by approximately 1/8 inch. Secure the bit back in place, ensuring it is tightened against the flat side of the motor shaft.
- Avoid Grinding Metal: DO NOT GRIND METAL. Grinding metal will destroy the diamond bit and render it unusable for glass grinding.
7. Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Grinder does not turn on. | Power cord not plugged in; power switch off; no power from outlet. | Check power connection; ensure switch is ON; test outlet with another device. |
| Grinding bit not effective / Glass chipping. | Insufficient water; worn-out diamond surface; excessive pressure. | Ensure water reservoir is filled; adjust bit height to expose new diamond surface (see Maintenance); reduce grinding pressure. |
| Grinder bit stuck to shaft. | Dried grinding residue. | Remove bit after use for prolonged storage; carefully loosen with hex wrench, apply penetrating oil if necessary. |
| Excessive vibration or noise. | Grinder not on a firm, level surface; loose bit; damaged motor. | Place grinder on a stable surface; ensure bit is securely tightened; contact customer support if motor damage is suspected. |
