Setup

1. Unboxing and Contents

Upon opening the package, verify that all components are present:

2. Battery Installation

Locate the battery compartment on the back of the monitor. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. The device is ready for use once batteries are installed.

3. Cuff Placement

Proper cuff placement is crucial for accurate readings. Place the monitor on your left wrist with the screen facing up, on the inside of your wrist. Ensure the cuff fits snugly but not too tightly, allowing one finger to fit between the strap and your wrist. The cuff is designed to fit wrists up to 8.5 inches in circumference.

Operating Instructions

1. Preparing for Measurement

  • Rest for at least 5 minutes before measuring. Avoid strenuous activity, showering, or consuming hot/cold drinks for 30 minutes prior.
  • Sit comfortably with your back supported and feet flat on the floor. Do not cross your legs.
  • Remove any watches, bracelets, or jewelry from your left wrist.
  • Ensure the monitor is at heart level. You can rest your elbow on a table to achieve this.
  • Remain still and do not talk during the measurement.

2. Taking a Measurement

With the cuff correctly placed and you in a relaxed position, simply press the 'Start/Stop' button. The monitor will automatically inflate and deflate, displaying your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate within approximately 30 seconds. The large LCD display ensures easy readability of your results.

3. Understanding the AHA Indicator

The monitor features a color-coded AHA (American Heart Association) indicator on the left side of the display. This indicator helps you quickly understand your blood pressure category:

  • Green: Normal Blood Pressure
  • Yellow: Prehypertension
  • Orange: High Blood Pressure (Stage 1)
  • Red: High Blood Pressure (Stage 2) / Hypertensive Crisis

4. Memory Storage

The monitor can store up to 60 readings. To review past measurements, press the 'Mem' button. Use the 'Mem' and 'Set' buttons to scroll through previous readings. The device will automatically shut down after a period of inactivity or you can press 'Start/Stop' to turn it off.
