Front Panel Controls and Display

• Display: 2.4" HCC (High Contrast and Colour) display for navigation and information.

Setup

1. Power Connection

1. Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port on the rear of the Vertico SmartRadio.
2. Plug the power adapter into a wall outlet.
3. The device will power on or enter standby mode.

2. Initial Network Setup (for Internet Radio & UNDOK App)

1. Upon first power-on, the device will guide you through the initial setup wizard.
2. Select your preferred language.
3. The device will scan for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list.
4. Enter your Wi-Fi password using the navigation knob and select button.
5. Once connected, the device will confirm the network connection.

Note: A stable internet connection is required for Internet Radio functionality and UNDOK app control.

Operating Instructions

Basic Operation

• Power On/Off: Press the Power/Volume knob to turn the unit on or off (standby mode).
• Volume Control: Turn the Power/Volume knob clockwise to increase volume, counter-clockwise to decrease.
• Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle through available modes: Internet Radio, DAB+, FM, CD, Bluetooth, AUX, USB.

Internet Radio

1. Press the MODE button until "Internet Radio" is selected.
2. Use the Navigation/Select knob to browse stations by location, genre, or search.
3. Press the Navigation/Select knob to confirm your selection and start playback.
4. To save a station as a preset, press and hold one of the Preset buttons. Briefly press to recall.

DAB+ Radio

1. Press the MODE button until "DAB+" is selected.
2. The radio will automatically scan for available DAB+ stations.
3. Use the Navigation/Select knob to browse the list of found stations.
4. Press the Navigation/Select knob to select a station.

FM Radio

1. Press the MODE button until "FM" is selected.
2. Use the Navigation/Select knob to tune to a frequency.
3. Press and hold the Navigation/Select knob for automatic scanning to the next available station.
4. To save a station as a preset, press and hold one of the Preset buttons. Briefly press to recall.

CD Player

1. Press the MODE button until "CD" is selected.
2. Gently insert an audio CD into the CD slot on the front panel. The disc will be drawn in automatically.
3. Playback will begin automatically. Use the navigation buttons (often integrated with the Navigation/Select knob or dedicated buttons) to skip tracks or pause.

Bluetooth Function

1. Press the MODE button until "Bluetooth" is selected.
2. The display will show "Pairing" or "Waiting for connection".
3. On your smartphone or tablet, enable Bluetooth and search for "AUNA Vertico".
4. Select "AUNA Vertico" to pair. Once connected, you can play audio from your device through the radio.

AUX Input

1. Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player) to the AUX IN port on the rear panel using a 3.5mm audio cable.
2. Press the MODE button until "AUX" is selected.
3. Audio from the connected device will now play through the Vertico SmartRadio.

USB Playback

1. Insert a USB storage device (e.g., USB flash drive) containing audio files into the USB port on the rear panel.
2. Press the MODE button until "USB" is selected.
3. The device will read the USB content. Use the Navigation/Select knob to browse and select audio files for playback.

UNDOK App Control

1. Download the UNDOK app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
2. Ensure your smartphone/tablet and the AUNA Vertico SmartRadio are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
3. Open the UNDOK app. It will automatically detect your Vertico SmartRadio.
4. Select your device within the app to gain full control over modes, stations, volume, and settings.

Display Settings

Access display settings via the MENU button to adjust brightness, backlight timeout, and other visual preferences for the 2.4" HCC display.

Maintenance

Cleaning

• Always unplug the device from the power outlet before cleaning.
• Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners, waxes, or solvents as they may damage the finish.
• For the display, use a soft, lint-free cloth.

Care and Storage

Troubleshooting

• No Power:
  • Check if the power adapter is securely connected to the device and the wall outlet.
  • Ensure the wall outlet is functioning.
• No Sound:
  • Check the volume level.
  • Ensure the correct input mode (Internet Radio, DAB+, FM, CD, Bluetooth, AUX, USB) is selected.
  • If using AUX or Bluetooth, ensure the external device's volume is up and it is properly connected/paired.
• Cannot Connect to Wi-Fi:
  • Ensure your Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
  • Check if your router is working and within range.
  • Try restarting your router and the AUNA Vertico.
• Internet Radio Buffering/Cutting Out:
  • Check your internet connection speed.
  • Move the radio closer to your Wi-Fi router or reduce interference from other devices.
• CD Not Playing:
  • Ensure the CD is inserted correctly with the label side up.
  • Check if the CD is clean and free from scratches.
  • Ensure "CD" mode is selected.
• Bluetooth Pairing Issues:
  • Ensure the radio is in Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your external device and it is within range.
  • Try unpairing and re-pairing the device.
