2.1 Battery Installation

1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the main unit.

3. Operating Instructions

3.1 Preparing for Measurement

3.2 Applying the Cuff

The cuff can be applied to any limb of the animal, or the base of the tail. The most beneficial position for accurate blood pressure values is when the cuff is at the same level as the animal's heart.

1. Forelimb Application: If the animal is lying on its right or left side, bind the cuff to a forelimb. This helps ensure the cuff is at heart level and the animal is less likely to retract the limb. Keep the forelimb straight.
2. Alternative Positioning (Sitting): If the animal is sitting in a comfortable posture, position the cuff on a forelimb, holding it to keep it at heart level and relax the animal's muscles.
3. Tail Application: If the animal is agitated or prone to biting/scratching, the base of the tail can be used as an alternative measurement location.

3.3 Performing a Measurement

1. Ensure the cuff is not inflated before wrapping it.
